ok ok so I'm getting carried away, but, making the best of what you've got and joining in some of the bantery/ positive threads cant be a bad thing, surely? unless someone re-titles this 'the 'lets go over to the forum and moan about the chatroom thread' :idea:

see how the other half live... take it in...excahnge views....meet and chat to new people outside your normal circle.....
i am willing to extend a hand of friendship to those new people from the chatrooms seeing this..... how about those people from the chatrooms who are not normally here come across, say hi, and tell us more about yourselves......

well, I tried a forum vs chat room to let the chat room folks see what this was all about, but erm, it got locked :giggle: maybe I should start a 'why has my thread been locked thread?!
Anyway, is not a bit like the sharks and the jets? forum vs chat - lets all get together in the play room (neutral ground) and start a dance routine we all suddenly know, and then have a fight, me n den could be like the hero n heroine caught up in the middle of the battle, seeing as how we are each on other sides of the fence, i'm a forum he's a chatter.......

I got into chat OK last night.
Was wondering if there's anything that could be done to the chatroom sticky to make it even more obvious than a sticky? Like make the writing red or something? And this is a serious question, not being sarcastic or anything. I think it might need to stand out more.

Nice idea FB, but I honestly don't think it would make a difference. It still requires them to look and read before starting a post and the people starting them are obviously incapable of doing that.

I didn't say they were incapable, but even if they are new to forums, they must be able to read a list of thread topics if they can make a post about missing chatrooms?

Thatâ€™s not a bad idea Freckled, if you think about it most of the people who start the threads are folk who donâ€™t use the forum much if at all, and therefore arenâ€™t used to finding there way around in here. Anything that makes the chatroom sticky more obvious, a flashing red sign for example would help people find their way.
