Rather Un-nerving

I haven't had that experience Varca (or atleast I don't think so). I may have looked at a profile a few times, usually because I couldn't remember something about them (eg the area in which they live). It stops me feeling like a pillock (as I have a terrible memory sad

)and asking them something in chat etc that they have already answered. lol

But as shy as I am I wouldn't keep looking at a profile. I'd either decide to communicate with them or leave them alone....:lol:

First - I hope I don't view anybodies profile on a daily basis :shock: but...
I view peoples profiles for all kind of reasons and I also have a bad memory so I may view some profiles on a regular basis. Reasons include: "nice post, what else have they posted", when did they last log on, standard profile stuff (how old are they, location, male/felmale?, gay/bi/straight etc), anything else that may help give context (pics/profile text). And none of this is because I want to shag them (well I can't sad

).
For example, take location:I'm interested in knowing if they live near to me as these are the ones I'm most likely to meet at socials etc. Take sexuality: If I'm flirting I don't want to upset people or give them the wrong message - although I don't know if I'm being over sensitive here; for example: I just assume gay women don't want to be flirted by men as they get enough of "it's just because you haven't met the right guy yet" crap.
I think it's better to know if somebody is viewing your profile daily than not as if this person later sends you abuse in the chatrooms then you know to avoid them all the more, and you will have extra information to give the chatops (don't know if it would be useful to them).

seriously though, I donâ€™t have the extras, so wouldn't have a clue who is looking or not (probably just as well really) But i do have to admit to perving certain profiles more than once.
My advice? be honoured that there are people out here that worship you from afar. and here's a novel idea, maybe, just maybe they are too scared to approach you, so if you find them interesting, why not break the ice by saying hi?

I look at some profiles often redface

to check on things i've forgotten like Dlep or just to see if anythings changed.
Being an Extra myself i do somtimes think why are they looking at my profile then i forget about it. Espesially str8 males lol

Or are they checking for competition :lol:
I dont see looking at profiles as a sign of anything other than someone checking on a possibility and i have never PM'ed anyone after looking at a profile infact i have never PM'ed anyone first on here atall for several reasons, me being backwards at coming forward for one.
Any one i have contacted by PM has been after flirting in the forum not looking at profiles

Even if they contacted you and you subsequently blocked them from contacting you again, they could still view your profile.
Maybe a lot of people are like me and just click to have a nosey at people's profiles lol

The only way to get around it is to clear your profile completely and have as little as possible showing, although that may be a disadvantage to you in the end, but if you're feeling that worried about it, just clean the slate and hope who ever it is stops looking.
Everything in the public domain is scrutinised all the time, but because we can't usually see who is doing it, we don't worry about it confused

Or you could always send a friendly pm to him/her/them and say you have noticed how often they look at your profile - might scare them off doing it again if you really don't want them doing it wink

And even though you clearly rebuff the attempts they still look at your profile every day. confused

It doesn't do me any harm of course, it's just not very endearing.

I would just like to point out, for the record, that perving at pics is not the only reason to visit a profile.
I frequently find, if I am not at that moment looking at their post) the quickest way to send a PM and ensure it gets to the right person is to click on the username (whether showing on the forum as a recent post or on the users online list) - thus opening their profile and enabling me to click on the 'contact this member' feature.
That's my story and I am sticking to it!

Having a girlfriend who is bisexual, a swinger, and a psychology graduate, I tend to get reminded of this fact whenever I fail to spot a girlie making eyes at me. In a, "She was hot for you!"

"Her!"
"Was she?"
"YES! Too late now!"
... kinda way. But then, it has been a general complaint that, for a woman to get my attention, she needs to apply brick to forehead. Or at least grab me by the throat and say, "Oi! Fancy a shag?" biggrin

I think i would be a lot more worried if no one is looking at a profile than if the some people were looking at it day after day.......
i had done that from time to time..... for example like others have said, i am one of those who has a memory like a sive... smile

for example i have seen you write this and i am curious to see what person wrote it... so what do i do..... hit the profile button :)
I also go into profiles as it is the quickest way to get information about people.... or to do some back reading of posts they had written in the past....... or to see ads they have written...
it isn't necessarily all about the pictures you know.......... but i'll send ya a pm.....

) from someone who's profile she had just clicked on the PM was a friendly one simply to say hi I've seen you've been having a browse..................................However ickle old me saw some misschief in this so on a daily basis and up to 3 times a day when she was at work I'd quickly log into PK's account view said users profile and log back out again makeing PK look like some obsesive profile stalker lol
