In light of Flowers bike thread I got to thinking about all the cars my dad had when I was a kid....
My favourite was one of these

A MKII Cortina 1600E
Lets here about/see your car memories.
MKII Cortina 1600E
Best car ever made by Ford
Also had one of these
Shit!! a DS!!!!!!!! wonderful!!!!
We passed an old barn today where an old boy was sat outside smoking his pipe.. as we drove past we caught a glimpse of an old black "Maigret" Citroen which he obviously been polishing all day...
I will get one of those, one day!

I was going to post some pics but my photobucket is playing silly buggers this morning rolleyes
My Dad had a Morris Oxford and a Ford Anglia but my fave was the Triumph 1300. He used to cram 7 of us in, no seat belt restrictions and I loved that car.
The best one I ever had was my 1979 V reg XJ6 biggrin

That ones the same colour as "Mindy" too
Mr W would be extolling the virtues of his old Crappy- I mean Capri- a John Player Special no less. I hated that car rolleyes
I'm not sure if you guys will appreciate the randomness of this as (hopefully) you don't know my mother, but here goes...
Picture an attractive, short (5'2"), very slightly built, young air hostess (stop it!) stepping off a DC10 in the Bahamas into one of these...

And to complement their cars, I now have a Mondeo. Oh the shame...
*Him*
One of THE great British cars of its era.... The Triumph Stag.

Followed by surely the greatest sports car maker of all time.....Ferrari
well we had lots of diff cars when i was a kid from a triumph to a capri fraid i'm not petrol head enough to remember um all lol
my dream old car is a TR4A convertible i saw a pic in a book when i was 14 n fell in love thought it was the cutest car i ever saw and my dream modern car is a morgan aero 8 again it is all about cuteness lol

I lost my virginity in a Capri. You can tell I was young....couldn't get into the same position these days confused
as most know, i dont drive... but it doesnt stop my love of the classics. i spend many a weekend traveling around the country to various Classic Car events and track days... Goodwood Revival being by far the highlight of my year.
car nowadays miss something... back in the 50's and 60's cars oozed Sex apeal. they may not of been the best built of cars.. and would half rust around ya feet.. but they just look great.
i could list hundreds of my favourites but i'll try and limited it.
MG has got to be my favourite type of car... from the MG T Series right through to the MGB. but from this the best has just gotta be the MGA

who would of thought Skoda could make a car that looked on Par with a Rolls Royce!
There used to be a saying about the diference between a Capri and a hedgehog, cant remember it tho' rolleyes
But for the older ones amongst us. My 1st car was a Jowett Javlin, then a jupiter, after that I was in the army for 12 years so couln't afford one. But now have my Spitfire and a Moggy woody. as well as the family Trajet. The Spit has to be the fav though, cause Mrs sun wont ride in it
Boys!

As long as you didn't want to drive it without the valves and the head merging into one giant metalic mess wink
