Flower. It is obvious here that you do not like " new bikes ". Thats fine but to own an old bike you need to have a degree in engineering. lol :lol:
How anyone can say the sportsbikes of today are not the best ever made, I just do not know.
They have the power and the handling and the stopping, and most certainly the looks. Older bikes look just that.......old.
Thank goodness we have moved on from the old British rubbish they used to churn out. No wonder they all went skint. Thankfully Triumph have made a comeback, but to do that they have had to look and go like a Jap bike. Good luck to them as they seem to have done a good job.

To millions, they look stylish, and classic. Innovative in some cases too.

Millions may well be a slight over exageration. :lol:

<blatant hijack>
Sorry to hijack but didnt wanna start a new one when this was still in the first 5 pages lol
Deks wanting to get a seat built for his ducati?? and has an option for gel or foam. Has anyone tried both and whats the difference?? Its £40 extra for the gel with the seat he has decided on so if its better is it worth the £40??
Thanks in advance kiss
<hijack over>
gel will be comfortable over a long distance.
With pushbikes I have always favoured the Gel saddle over the foam one as it proves more comfortable...
Would i be right in thinking thats its because gel moulds to you? where foam sorta stays foamy? Sure i heard that somewhere but dont know where or indeed if its true?

........
That`ll go down in history as a classic !! :shock:

Well if it does go down you'll need a bloody crane to pick the bugger up again. :lol2:
OK here's mine....

Why did I buy it? Well it's my first bike so I need something that's reliable, easy to ride, cheap to insure and fast enough to sometimes scare me (and occasionally others) and that wouldn't be too much of a handfull for me while I get used to riding.
