Anybody got any opinions on last Fridays show about the Manchester cpl who met up with the Norway cpl ?
The 2nd installment is on to-night about a cpl who visit Fun for 2 in long now till our show :P
I saw last weeks episode and I coldn't bvelieve how "awkward" the couple featured were. Admittedly they were older than the other swingers but the husband just looked too uncomfortable to be true. I felt awkward just watching.
Not long know till our tv apperance
Just watched the show guys, good on ya! Looks like you had a fun time. Dont know if you remember us but we did meet in Infusion on the opening weekend ( sat night ). Hopefully we will meet again at some point in the future.

Good show! You made us Brits come out really well. We don't need to dress up like idiots and dance around endlessly to have a good time. We just need a soft surface and bobs yer uncle! Rule Britannia!
It's all in the editing, isn't it?
Maybe Americans look like they have small willies because so many have enormous bellies that hang over them.
Have to say I agree with Kaz and Seagul - the actual show it self was well made and warts and all. However, your comments regarding the american swingers were well condescending and not called for.
Nothing to stop you having those observations and as has been said by others, they maybe should have been kept under wraps. The comment about having sex with your Grandad was way off. The guy was there, like you, to have fun, and if that is his bag then good on the bloke for getting out and doing it at his age, if it wasn't your thing you be firm but polite and move along.
My opinion is, is that you were too eager to get down to things and came across as very arrogant, I am not saying you are, that is how it appeared to me.
If you both just chilled a little maybe be less eager then things would have been easier for you.
My thoughts anyway.
whilst I didn't agree with everything you said I think your very brave and have my respect for standing up and being counted.
well done
I'm just waiting for them to do a REAL program on a swingle male that doesnt go to clubs and is selective on who they play with...
Would probably take 2 years of filming, and result in 29mins 55seconds of nothing, then 5seconds of great sex after being compressed into real time, lmao
I've also noticed that theres been no, or very little, mention of safe sex on all the programs... I know a lot of people dont, and also a lot do... but its not really been mentioned!
I can't remember the exact figure quoted as to the cost per couple in the states for the venue, but at about 1-2 thousand (did I hear it correctly) then the only people who could afford that would be the retired rich or the upper end of the finantial ladder who wouldnt think twice about having a social only meet without playing as money is no object and its a couple of days to be different.
The young couple that was featured did, although sidelined, mention how different a finantial bracket most people were in... While in the uk we have a "class" system, the us has its own class system based on earnings more than class based on breeding in the uk where its frounded upon to be wealthy through earnings and not inheritance.
Socially speaking most of the people at the event were on a par with lords and ladys in US terms.
Despite what has been said about editing, all the subjects really get is "you're not putting that out... or that will do" I really cant see the subjects being in the editing room with editorial rights over potentially 72 hours (3days *24 hours) of tape.
The final verson did show chris as being homophobic, but hey thats his right... if he doesnt like the idea of guy contact then i'm sure DP and condomless sloppy seconds is not on the cards and all perform safe sex so there is no posibility of same sex contact directly or indirectly through bodily fluids.
Although being bi myself, I do find it strange that someone can enjoy bi-sexual events from an opersite sex partner and not within themselves... someone that is totaly against bi-sexuality and gay and lesbian sex does tend to seem more honest than someone that says "being gay is bad... unless its two girls..." but that is my take on things.
I personaly wouldnt/dont say anything derogitory about anyone I'd played with except in private or with very close friends or there was a really good reason to have done so... If i'd have had an issue i'd have brought it up with the person/people i'd played with either at the time or later (I wouldnt have done this with a GF some years ago, but i'm older and wiser if not maturer)
OK so issues out of the way....
chris and loraine came across as a couple that loved sex, had a huge exhibitionist side and were open and vocal... and also had the balls to "come out" on the swingning scene.
Only time will tell if the program does them more harm than good and only they will know that.
I also found it refreshing that they admitted they were in this for the sex, after all swinging is a sexual thing... true there may need to be a social click, but when it comes down to it a lot of swingers only need to find a sexual compatability... if there is an emotional compatability then this is secondary and a bonus if everyone wants more than "we like you, you like us, lets fuck."
I have played with people, and in reverse them with myself, based on physical attraction and contact via adverts/messenger/emails... I've also seen it from the other side as a couple and it doesnt require friendship, just a mutual attraction... true friendship comes after with time; even then there always has to be some detatchment otherwise the lines between swinging and relationships becomes blured and emotional attatchments can become one sided or exclusive.
If swinging was first and foremost about friendships then clubs would not work, and you wouldnt see couples leaving pissed of because they hadnt played after forking out their x amount, they also wouldnt have a graded pay scale based on single fems, couples, men and wouldnt get anyone in for greedy girls and gangbangs and bukackies, membership would be quota based and not finantial.
It does annoy me that people try to put a socially acceptable face on swinging that conforms to the "normaity" instead of saying "swinging is about sex... period" if you dont like it or the idea... piss off, if you do... come on in and have fun.
What I find is that people from North America have been very repressed and there is alot of religious fevour. With the new awakening of swing clubs and parties, (some which are still advertised as meeting places but no sex insitu) they do tend to treat it with alot more teenage enthusiasm. Sort of like 'look at me!! I'm naked!!! Wow look at all the tits!!'
It's sort of a niavity, and places like Hedo bring out inhibitions with costume parties and games. It's just a different attitude to whole thing.
They also have a totally different way of communicating and conversation is encouraged from day one, right through the school system, and onward. Here we keep more to ourselves, and tend not to dwelve too deep at first as far as personal information taken and given.
Here it's quite normal to see pics of people getting it on on the streets (hooray for the big market) and get it on the first date, but over there, very much more conservative.
We have nudity everywhere in the UK. Newspapers, magazines, beaches, mainstream TV. It's something we are used to, but over there, swingers are still regarded as weirdos.
To me, that explains alot of the difference in the approach to swinging.
Just my two cents...
Firstly well done to Chris and Loraine for doing the show.
The question we would like to ask is, did the presence of cameras have a negitive effect on the swinging action? Could that be why the Americans were so hesitant to "play"? After all, if there was a film crew at say, Xtasia how many Brits would you see being brave enough to carry on as they normally would do?
Having worked in America in the past, got to say that when Americans have one of their recreation conventions, be it a Star Trek, Halloeen or Swinging Convention, they put loads more effort into it than we Brits tend to do. Possibly because the ones that go to them have more spare cash, ie you wouldn't find the ones that were left behind in New Orleans at these dos.

the figues quoted were astronomical 2500 dollars per couple and about 500 couples attended. Added to that the guy running it said he ran the bars and each couple spent about 150 dollars per day. Which begs the question is he, like he said "only in it for the lifestyle".
Well they say sex sells
I was looking forward to this programme but being away I had to tape it. I watched it last night and thought that it portrayed Chris and Lorraine in a less than favourable light. As has been said in previous postings, the first rule of swinging must be confidentiality for swinging partners. It was shameful that there was "slagging off" of poor performances and under endowment. Sorry C & L but I don't think that this programme did you any favours.
