My local radio station are trying to break the current world record for the longest continuous broadcast by one single presenter - currently 125 hours non-stop (with no sleep). It started this morning and will run until at least Saturday if the presenter can manage it and is raising money for Berkshire Give A Child A Chance. 6 days without sleep? Cor, I'm grumpy without one night's sleep so it'll be interesting to see how his mood fares as the week goes by!
I've never attempted anything even resembling an amazing feat let alone a record breaker - have you? Actually I recently received a book from my sis called '101 things to do before you're old and boring' - she's a cheeky cow but I might get some ideas lol

Keeping my gob shut is a struggle sometimes confused
I once did a 56 hour continuious shift , with a colleague, to complete a deadline.
We both started halucinating at about 50 hours and the computer screen went 3D and starting moving in and out, at which point we thought it best call for assistance.
The drive home was what can best be described as very interesting :silly:
Did 48 hours once for an aircraft on ground
Only did it once as it isnt required much luckily as for AOG's we have to work when required to get the parts out to the aircraft repair station as soon as posible

thats a challenge and half.... how do you talk about interesting stuff for 126 hours .. if that would be me there would be dead air after the first five hours cause i would have run out of things to speak about.
wouldn't it be funny if there was a power cut a few hours before he reached the record.. or am i just cruel.
I've gone 4 days without sleep. I sincerely do not recommend it if you value your sanity! confused
Once did a 100km (62 miles) race once - just the once!!!

Does a 9 week 18 country camping tour of Europe count? Oh those were the days ...luckily I kept a diary because otherwise I wouldn't remember I had even visited some of the countries. I do remember a lot of imbibing going on tho  biggrin

Thats just silly. I did the whole of the South Downs Way in a day once. 97 miles off-road on a mountain bike.
Got bloody sunburnt on the tops of me legs, backs of me calves and tops of me arms - stopping just where the gloves started. Not only was I sore, but I looked a right pillock.
