Now, being a child of the 80s, I loved Fame (the TV series) and was totally into the whole leg-warmers, performing arts school vibe. I sooooo wanted to be Coco! And, needless to say, my first love was Leroy. *swoons still*
They've remade the film (which wasn't as good as the TV series anyway) and it was just released. I will not be going to see it... I know I would be disappointed.
This leads me to my point: what classic films or TV shows do you think should be remade and what should remain sacrosanct?
I think a remake of the A Team could be fun cool
Now I'm looking forward to going to see the new Fame movie. I just need to find someone that will come with me confused

I was just such a huge fan of the original that I can't do it... I still have my Fame duvet cover somewhere though redface lol
Funhouse!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Funhouse it's a whole lotta fun, prizes to be won. It's a real crazy show where anything will go. Funhouse, it's a quiz, it's a race, do do do do.
Use ur body and ur brain if u wanna play the game.
Funhouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse!!!
:bounce:
I so wanted to go on that show!
I saw the newer version of Roobarb and Custard the other day.
It's still got richard Briers narrating, there's a few extra characters and more modern storys but......they couldn't replicate the wobbly colouring in on a computer and it just doesn't look right
T'other half is just watching the remake of Knight Rider......just NOT the same without the cheesiness of the Hoff!!
there was an articel on my home page about possible upcoming remakes and some of them were a little  to say the least!!

classics such as
Highlander, Karate Kid, My Fair Lady, Nightmare on Elm Street, Barbarella and the Dirty Dozen and Footloose are all being remade, with some surprise choices in the lead roles!
would like to see a re'make of the classic film
get carter biggrin :D
but who ? would take the lead role that michael Caine portrayed so well.
trav..
I've just had a lovely cry at the remake of Goodbye Mr Chips

same goes for The Italian Job what with the new mini's and all
They should definitely remake "The Professionals" but have the original TV Introduction and theme music for it because it doesn't get any better... Mark II Granada ploughing through a window... Sheer brilliance.
Done seriously, it would be horrendous, done as a loving pastiche, it would be brilliant.
Eddie Izzard and Frankie Boyle for Bodie and Doyle, (Or T.V and Boyle) Robbie Coltrane for Cowley and Dara O'Briain as their arch-nemesis...
I'd go to watch that...
The Herbs.
ooh and
Hectors House

I was under the impression (and I could be wrong....), that the new film was a continuation of the first one (as in what happened next)
As for the A-team.....awesome idea, but which actors to replace the original four, short of Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity) to play "Face", I haven't a clue to be honest dunno
I thought Fame was already re-made..with makeover...and new name:
High School Musical
anyone like me, who's daughter made me watch it, couldn't help feel it was simply a new, tarted up version of Fame.

We need a remake of Blake's 7. And shame on ANYONE who has never heard of this top-class science-fiction drama.
The Crossroads of the Sci-Fi genre complete with wobbly scenery and random actor replacements for the same characters.
