Does anyone have any opinions to help a chap make a decision?

I go there once in a blue moon when I get chance. I've not a lot of comparative experience so others will give you more balance. It's a bit run down but not too bad. I like it as a place to relax and chill out and move from sauna or steam room to a swim. It may claim to be naturist but most women keep towels round them. That's fair enough of course. I move around fairly naked when I'm there.
Couples may get more from rooms upstairs but as a single I've not been up there. People are friendly or have been when I've been there. I have had a few adventures there but if I went there expecting one I expect I'd be disappointed.
I've had a couple of good (innocent) massages there. Its considered a banning offence to proposition the masseuses.
I remember a discussion with a topless member of staff there once on Anglo-Saxon poetry and thinking how unlikely the situation was.
Its easy to get to from Kentish Town tube station.

Rios has improved its facilities and is a neater place for it. I use it during the days now, as at night it just gets too crowded.

You can get in as a naturist couple for a tenner, and you are expected to be naked during your stay. most of the women during the day are there because they want to use the facilities. You may get lucky, but don't go looking for it.
If you're looking for action try the Paradise Spa in Dagenham. they have designated sessions some for couples, bi, greedy girls and party nights. There's more opportunity there than Rios.

You dont need a group. If you want to host a munch all you need is a location with suitable facilities about which I am sure there is a sticky topic. Book the venue for free or at as little cost as possible then post a topic in the lets meet up forum with the date etc etc. State what volunteers you require i.e. a disco, door volunteers, badges, hand holders etc etc. Thats it! In London I think you should be almost guaranteed a turn out. After just be prepared to run the thread take a list of names request conformations etc.
Ive not run one but I have run several socials. I didn't find it that difficult in all fairness, in fact I kind of enjoyed it. Sure there are lots of folks who would help you out as well and I am all for encouraging Munch's as the numbers seem to have dwindled
