I'm pretty sure it's not my connection because other sites I use seem ok but are other people finding the page loads on SH really, really slow right now?

yep, reminds me of the old dialup days, almost able to make a cuppa between pageloads lol.
still I'm sure its all for the good, and bear in mind it 'might' not be down to the site, could be all kinds of reasons. Welcome to the internet, where the chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

Yup, very, very, very slow here too!
It's like having dial up again, it's taking sooo long to navigate between pages, and it keeps timing out.
All other sites fine though, so it's not my comp.

biggrin We have a cluster of 3 database servers and one of them broke a few days ago. While we are waiting for the replacement hardware our database is running on two servers so it is a bit slow.
We tried to get the third server back online a few days ago and that was the last lot of downtime and it crashed again. We are planning new solutions at the moment so we will keep you posted.

I kept gettin "page cannot be displayed" messages all last night. Thought it was just me but it didnt happen on any other site. This morn seems OK but yeah quite slow here too. Sound like we are all whingers doesnt it confused

I think that we now fully understand that the site is running slow and the reason why it is.
