I am sure this has probably been done to death but as I sit here with my mouth almost stuck together with the enjoyment of a crunchy peanut butter sarnie , which will be followed swiftly by a glass of ice cold milk, to relieve the said stickyness.....whats your sarnie pleasure
Let me see ... Minnie Driver underneath and Uma thurman on top with me in the middle
I think an MFM sandwich works better though
If we're talking two pieces of bread and a filling, I'd go for bacon and egg (either fried, or boiled and chopped up with some mayo and spring onion)
Cheese and Onion crisps... on very soft thin white bread.
It is not haut cuisine perhaps, but very enjoyable all the same.
soft white sliced bread
crispy edged fried egg
yolk not burst when cooking, but burst when put on bread and spread over other slice of white bread
salt
mmmmmmm heaven x
Oh I dont care about topics being repeated and lets face it one can not get enough of a good sarnie.
Bacon & Brie on fresh white for me please - and as a treat fire a piece of crispy bacon in between too sillyhwoar:
2 rounds of thick Warbies Toastie, 4 fish fingers, loads of vinegar, pressed down so hard you can see your finger prints in them..... oh godddddddd
:smoke:
Seriously strong spready cheese on fresh bread
Of course, if I was impressing, it would be a particularly pungeant Boursin or Roule on a fresh warm baguette with a strong red wine to accompany.
I used to love the sandwiches that come out of the Toastie Makers. You know the ones that make cheese and jam hotter than the surface of the sun and are a bugger to clean afterwards. Every few years I seem to get unhealthily excited about having a new toastie machine, buy one, use it three times then chuck it away as it's too much bother.
I'll have to find one on Ebay now.

Corned Beef and Bean toastie? I have never had the pleasure of one... I'm quite picky with Corned dog, I don't like it on it's own, but in a sandwich (especially with onion, lots of it) or in Corned beef hash, it's rather nice.
I think the hottest temperature ever recorded in history came when I accidentally left a Dairylea toastie on the go for 2 minutes extra. It was like the blood of the Alien from the film of the same name. It'd eat through the work surface, concrete floor and only stopped when it cooled near the Earths core.

I can believe that....

However I'm a dab hand with the ice cubes...
Oooh, my favourite sandwich is...
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many to pick just one!
So, fresh white cut from the loaf yourself bread with butter and ham from a ham joint - with black pepper.
Or egg and cress - the egg simply mashed with a little butter, no mayo necessary.
Or maybe pastrami and swiss cheese fully dressed with salad and red onion.
Or how about a chip butty? Food of the gods - every now and again!
Eeeeh, I love sandwiches - making me pick one is plain cruel!
fresh granary bread , thin sliced rare roast beef salad and horseradish mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm oh and a chip butty with chip shop chips
lol

for me it has to be 3 medium slices of granary bread, a mix of Greek yogurt & hot pepper sauce, don't hold back on the Vitalite spread! tuna fish, sweetcorn & a generous sprinkling of grated mature cheddar cheese!
Hot Diggity Dawg... its get me every time!:lickface::lickface:
