“That’s telling us that there is a speed camera” says Alex.
“Ok” say I.
“Look at what it is says that the camera is 1200ft away. Isn’t that good?” Exclaims Alex.
“Hmmmm if you say.” I am now starting to get confused why she thinks this feature is brilliant.
“I never even knew they put them so high. That is really clever. It’s so nobody knows where they are. But the satnav can spot them.”
I am now clearly confused. “What are you talking about?” I asked Alex.
“The way the satnav knows where they are even if they can’t be seen.”
At this point, tears start streaming down my face and I am in fits of laughter. She has only thought the satnav was telling her the distance to the speed cameras up in the air and not the distance along the ground. She thought that there were speed cameras in the air………up to a height of 1200 foot.
Of course though, this explanation resulted in me getting a punch……for laughing at her :kick: . I had to promise not to tell anyone………but writing it is not telling anyone……as I haven’t spoken to anybody.
