Say we are a couple

I met a lady, on our first date we were asked if we were a couple. Afterwards she said if we were asked again say we are a couple. I thought it was very quick to call us a couple.

Does anyone have insights?

She might have felt safer being part of a couple as unfortunately some single guys think a single female is "fair game"

Many moons ago when me and Lou were single we first met by her asking me to pretend to be her bf to get rid of guys hitting on her. So I do get that it’s a safer option for females.
