I'm almost loathe to tell you all this - but I have to suffer six - yes, six - weeks of being bloody idle, not having to get up in the mornings, late to bed at night, sunbathing in my nice new secluded garden (weather permitting) in the daytime.
Poor me
NOT!!!!!!
lol
so i assume your be catching up with Jags post count very soon?
MrsFB,
I'm sure you deserve it, after dealing with 'those dear little darlings' for a term.
You enjoy it, not that I am jealous or anything lol

Dunno about that, she's on holidays too!
Gosh, I've a mountain of chocolate to eat and my house is like a flower shop at the moment.
snap FB ! biggrin (minus the chocs and flowers... but I did get a handmade scoobie keyring, bracelet and a thankyou card that reduced me to tears  )
and i got 6 weeks of building site not peace and recouperation lmfao rolleyes
typical lol
I got some lovely handmade stuff from the kids - almost sorry to see them go.
Hmm, mind you!
We'll have to meet for a cuppa, DF biggrin
Talking of chocolates and flowers.....my wife has always given our boy's teacher's something at the end of school term....she has always believed in it as a thank you for their hardwork.....is this still a regular thing.....all is it becoming scarce?
I got a present of some description from most of my class and so did the other teachers, from their classes.
I love the handmade stuff though biggrin
my lot are in the main, very disadvantaged kids, with various problems from abuse history to alcoholism, getting something handmade from them really means alot, :D because it means they've thought about it and importantly recognise what I do, and then have felt at least some emotion and dealt with it in a positive way, wheras 6 months ago they'd have put a fist through a window or blocked it out with drugs.
.....I actually dont want to be away for 6 weeks
Ditto with the 'suffering' 6 weeks hols wink
as for pressies got 5 bottles of wine drinkies
chocs & sweets & biscuits & flowers
but bestest things are the handmade cards & thingys the kids make (aww they are only 4)
& parents comments make it all worth while

Im afraid it is such a hard life, Fecklebird. I know exactly how you feel. I drove to work this morning, watched the sweet little darlings going into school, and thought..............................................................................................................................
Six whole weeks without them, six whole weeks that I will not have to listen to the troubles.
Oh I am going to miss it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much......................................................................................................................................
YEAH RIGHT - LIKE FECK I AM

Fookin' hell  all I can offer is a :therethere: but I think - no I'm sure - I really mean it. kiss

doesnt everyone.........i dont think it matters who its off or their age..........its just so special to recieve something from someone that they've made.........i always try to make my own cards as i know that people apprieciate the gesture.........and whilst i'm a creative type, most of the cards i do could be made easily by anyone........
i know i'm digressing a bit but i just think that for someone to put the effort into making something means soo much more that matirial things.......anyone who has the money can go out and buy things..........only someone who really cares will take the time to make someone something.........and it means so much more for it........
sorry for the ramble........think the colds gettin to me....... sad
