SH Admin

hello,
I was just wondering if there is a way of checking which members also work for SH? I can appreciate that you may want your privacy, but wondered if it did come up on profiles anywhere if people are admin etc?
Also, wanted to check, the support tickets (general, not technical) do they get answered by one person or will more than one person see it?
I was a bit shaken up by something said to me tonight by someone claiming to be SH admin and have sent a support ticket, but am now paranoid that if this guy does work for SH (although I sincerely hope he was just bluffing) he might be the one who receives my complaint!

Hi there.
I've generally found that the admins/mods can be found purusing the chatroom and they are a gold star at the top of the room members. I've saved a few as 'friends' so that if i need to report anything/ask a question/complain, then i can drop them a PM. On every occasion i have asked a question a genuine mod or admin gets back to you pretty quickly with at least an acknowledgment.
Sorry if i sound like i'm trying to brown nose, but I think our admins do a very good (and entirely voluntary) job of maintaining the site!
Ditto your sentiments Andy i give credit where its due i have always been treated with respect by mods/op's and the s/h admin team and though i have on occasion(rare) thought hmmmmmmm to some stuff, I have no doubt they are well intentioned and probably right (most of the time lol

)One of the nice things about the op's and mods is the ability for any member to if neede drop a note in their mailbox easy as pie and that this is encouraged where else does that happen. Saying that they are all weirdo hippies :twisted: wink

Only Admin And Chatroom Ops have a goldstar in the chatrooms, except Dawnie and Bilko, cos they're doublehatted. When Mods are in chatroom, we appear the same as normal members, although if you know us, we can often help find a Chat Op quicker (special powers!) or even help directly. We cannot 'kick' anyone or close rooms, but we can ban if we deem necessary.

What's the going rate for SH mods/ops? If it's more than 20p an hour and a half-chewed Fruit Salad, where do i get an application form??? biggrin

20p an hour is about the going rate - that's all we could afford to pay Admin!!

The ones whose name show in red/dark brown at the bottom of the forum are the paid workers from SH Those in purple are Chatroom Ops who are volunteers responsible for the Chatrooms and those in greenare the Moderators of the Forum. None of the Ops or Mods are paid. Support tickets are with by paid staff in the office.

Thanks for your help everyone, I have put a general support ticket in and will see what comes of it.
Just fyi, I didn't post because I doubted the integrity of SH staff, but because I thought if someone was staff they shouldn't have spoken to me in the way that they did (actually, I wouldn't accept anyone speaking to me in the manner he did!). I was pretty shaken up last night when I posted my question but feel a lot happier this morning.
