On a whim, I have just "googled" my SH username and to my surprise found that an ad I had deleted at the end of last year was cached in its entirety complete with photos and my e-mail address in the subject line. Does this come as a surprise to anyone else? Should I have been surprised by it. Can the same thing still happen following SH's recent revamp?? I guess the lesson, which is not really a new one, is that once you put anything on the net it can never truly be recalled.

yes it can still happen and may well be one of the reasons why putting any contact details anywhere in an advert is against the AUP...........

Defence counsel would like it entered into the record that my e-mail address was never included in the body of my ad but only ever in my general contact details. However, I did use to experiment with hiding/not hiding my e-mail address according to the options offered to see if I could improve on my grand total of one reply to my ad ever. (And she disappeared back into cyberspace after a month without any hint of a meeting. But she did send me a few pleasantly naughty e-mails before then so it wasn't all bad!!)

My other name Dlep comes up with a lot of other things same with Plum, so Im not too worried....even if you add "Swinger" it reveals nothing about me. I think it does if you add Swinging Heaven though....but only my flatmate knows Im a swinger and he doesnt know about which sites I use.....(thank god...:shock

Just run a google seach on our name brings up loads of rubbish, but three pages in brings up a SH dogging post we posted on, but make note it does not show our name but last user who was several posts after us. So not sure if we are safe or not, lol

however our old sh username did come up but only for the items we had posted in the cafe non of the old ads came up thank god :giggle:
