No, not an exhortation to be quiet, but the Swinging Heaven Summer Holiday!!
Our first task will be to refit the double decker bus that we can all go cruising in for the next 6 or 8 weeks. If ANYONE starts humming Cliff Richard tunes you will spoil my Sunday!! evil

Now then, I have some ideas for the refit. Upstairs there will be a massage area and, of course, a Jacuzzi (I am a bit worried about the weight of the water on the upper deck â€“ never mind.) Will checks out his calculations again and scratches his head I am sure it will be okay â€“ oh, and a bar.
Downstairs will be chairs, books, flat screen plasma TV, wireless internet connections so that we can all keep posting in the Forum (isnâ€™t GPRS wonderful?) â€“ oh, and a bar!
Itâ€™s a sort of mobile GFZ - except that the girlies are more than welcome (well, someone has to do the washing up!). Which reminds me, I have forgotten a kitchen :doh: Will goes back to the plans and scratches his head some more.
Where the hell is Fred Flintstone when you need him? I am hopeless at this practical stuff and heâ€™s really very good at it.

We need:
Downstairs
Kitchen (small fridge for food, LARGE fridge for booze :twisted: ), comfy chairs, bar, books, Jacuzzi (I am sorry but I am really worried about the weight on the upper deck :shock: â€“ not to mention the high centre of gravity! I can see the whole thing turning over on a tight bend or a roundabout :shock: :shock: ). Did I mention a bar?
Upstairs
Beds, massage area, bar, snacks and nibbles. Bar. Ermmmm, chill out area (with a bar). Do we have enough bar space? dunno

Refigerated Trailer
For all the food and booze so the main bus only needs to have enough provisions on board to make it to the next stop.
Once the refit is completed (which I think will have to involve extending the wheelbase and possibly even making it articulated :eeek smile

Sappho and I will fill up the bars, fridges and trailer and then set off round the country. Newcomers who join us along the way just need to bring a few bottles and some brown or purple drinks tokens (tenners or twenties for the unitiated) for the kitty. From Shropshire we can head north to pick up Sarge, bluexxx, AngelChat, WBB and anyone else from up there and then head off round the country for the rest of you.
Whoâ€™s interested? Now then. Suggestions for routes, additions to the bus are welcome as are places to visit once we get going/

How about we have one of them massive trailers, bit like the double coaches you get round and about these days, but with a double decker bit at the front?
We can still keep the cold storage bit in the back quarter of the trailer, but the rest of it can be used at the 'wet area'. That way the jacuzzi will be lower and stop the risk of the double decker tipping over...... although still left with the problem of the front bus doing wheelies if everyone piles into the wet coach at once, for a party confused

The little flexible bit in between the buses (you know, that plastic concertina bit) - well that can be fitted with warm blowers to dry people off before coming back into the front. Will stop people dripping over the soft furnishings (that wasn't an order to you Will, was a suggestion, as in 'it will' :lol2: )
Also, I don't want to be stuck here down south for the next month before you all pick me up!! I will get a train and meet you up there biggrin

Now that we have that sorted, I'll bring some big fluffy towels for the massage area, they can also be used after people have been in the jacuzzi, and if we go with MissChief's idea of warm blowy things (I can't think of a proper name for them either) they can dry off there.
I also have a few cans of bitter in my fridge, not something I'd drink so I'll bring them along with a HUGE bottle of vodka I brought back from Spain (don't worry, I still have the other bottles, the duty free allowance is much more generous than it used to be!)
I think we should make sure there's plenty of storage under the chilling out area for the bags, but I also think we need to limit people to one medium sized suitcase each. Misschief, I'm a bit concerned as to how on earth you're planning on getting all of them on the train with you! You're going to have to leave some of those shoes at home I'm afraid. Thank god Blue travels light!
I'm off to pack some sexy undies and my toiletries, see you when you get here biggrin

(but please don't be too long, I'm really excited now, because my other summer holiday was a massive let down!)

Misschief! : HOW MANY BAGS??????? :shock: :shock: They could take up a trailer on their own! :doh: I forgot to mention the overhead lockers that would need to available on BOTH decks. The girlies will clearly need more space than us chaps. If we are away for about 8 weeks then I was going to bring TWO pairs of socks and underwear but perhaps I ought to bring 3 â€“ just in case we get delayed. lol

Misschief â€“ you had better tell Carpy that you have taken up his allocated space as well! Fortunately, bluexxx has taken up much less than her share.
Waterpistol : Thanks for the note about the toilet â€“ it had crossed my mind but I forgot to include it in the outline (I was only concentrating on the main points). Both bar areas WILL have toilets.
Angel : We will be delighted to pick up se7endriver before we leave Shropshire (Misschief â€“ why donâ€™t you journey up from the south with me and then you can help Sappho and me get everything ready).

Of course, one of the very first places we have to visit is the SH Theme Park â€“ just to check up on progress.
