most of us have been there and we`ve all worried, but kids are a lot tougher than we give them credit your bit of free time he`ll be home soon.
sierra x x wink
:therethere: aww bless!
you'll be posting again later hun with a big grin on your face and heart full of his telling you about his new little friend...how cool the messy table is...and that he even has a little peg for his coat with his very own little picture on it..... biggrin too cute!
its so hard the first couple of days...house soooo quiet...feeling a bit lost...but this time next week you'll be enjoying some 'me' time and less Dora/Balamory! honest!
When mine started she just walked off, threw her little bag on the floor and started talking to another child.....five minutes later they were skipping off together without so much as a second glance at me, stood there with tears in eyes having expected a full on 'no no mummy I dont want to stay' session!!
If you're leaving him and collecting later, go early so you can peek through the window and watch him playing with the other kids. Makes it all worthwhile!
I hope!! confused
make the most of it
before you know it you will soon be helping him with HOMEWORK
yeah, and before you know it you'll be wingeing that they won't get their lazy arse out of bed to get a job
She'll be fine, hope she had a good first day

yea remember the day well....my daughter has just done her second week at secondary school now......really hit me hard seeing her in new uniform and walking through gates on her own .....all of a sudden lost my little girl.
But just to cheer you up tatty...tell you story about her when she went to nursery...by all accounts that day they were talking about animals and then painting animals in afternoon.
When I got there to pick her up, the teacher pulled me aside and said that they had, had to tell my daughter off today. I thought oh no..whats she done. They told me they found her painting the hamster bright green !!! when they said now all paint an animal you like, she took it literally..dipped her brush in paint, walked over stuck brush though cage bars and duly pained the hamster !! I'm sorry but i couldn't help but have a quiet titter after !!!
So don't worry...plenty more days like today to come. Just enjoy when they still young.

Actually my kids don't go to nursery, i'm a old git you know my kids are older than that biggrin
just gota tell ya
As some of you know i run my own pre-school.
We had a lad not long ago, he was 3 yrs old, used to come in crying and causing one hell of a hallabaloo. Mum used to stand outside upset and beside herself popping her head in every now and again to see if he had settled down.
Well after 3 days of this we discovered he liked drawing so sat him at a table with pencils and knowing litte devil sat there crying loudly as before then turned to look to see if mum had re-appeared, he did this several times each time stopping to draw a little. He must have got fed up with crying because he turned to me and
said " has she gone yet? i wana draw" rolleyes
just goes to show you doesnt it wink
So dont worry tatty haveing met Harry am sure he will cope better than you hun. smile
Have faith in the lad and use your time to yourself for yourself and you will both benefit
Little ones are more knowing resilliant than you think.
Had to pop back to this thread... just to let you all know It went good.... He played in the little kitchen area they have making the teachers all a cup of tea bless him... then toodled off to the water area, to sink some ships rolleyes, then the sand pit copped it... or rather the contents of the sand pit is now all over the floor rotflmao... only to finish off with a lovely painting for me biggrin.... whilst doing this he turned to shout the teacher and splatted paint all over her lovely cream skirt.....
I stood back.. all eyes turned to me and I was giggling away quite happily to myself thinking of the last few days when he helped me out by washing my windows with strawberry milkshake... and cleaning my bathroom with a bottle of my hair conditioner...
:giggle: I have to say... seeing him causing mayhem and distruction at nursery today just made me so happy.... He really doesn't do it all just to wind me up!!! :giggle:
Thank you all for your thoughts and comments.... heads up on Tuesday though... I'll be leaving him there for the first time
Awwwwwww hun (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))
don't worry it will get easier, give it a week and you'll be cursing weekends and school holidays.
I still get a lump in my throat and tear in my eye when I see my little one coming home, knowing its back to the grindstone again lol
(love him to bits really smile )
kaz xx
He's a smashing little lad / complete monster ( delete as your mood dictates tattyxpx ! )
He'll be fine i reckon though you may not be, sitting at home, bored, without the sound of "uh-uh" or "mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine" every 2 minutes. At least he'll have less time to wash your windows and floors with a milkshake !!! lol
It's quite possible you may think you have gone deaf... the silence will be weird..
And... you may have to change your signature now!
You posted about the milkshake just as i was writing! smile

lol   That's what Steve said when he emailed me after the kids had gone back to school after the summer holidays.....
I have to say that I didn't get emotional at all about ours going to school, but I was working so I was used to dropping them off at the childminders every morning.... I would have been gobsmacked if either of ours had objected about going to school as they are so independant
Dont worry Tatty as I am sure he will make up for not being at home during the day when he gets back rotflmao Ours do...
