Not according to one of my Ex's. It's all down to timing! Just get that right and there are no nasty side-effects. And from my own perspective I'd say the same... leave it too long and you'll regret it!

Why would that be dunno
Personally, I think sometimes that variety really is the spice of life.
I've asked rug'd girls to shave, shaven to grow a little, hairy to trim.
I've had girls ask me which I prefer, and one or two actually present on the meet, the way I'd described.
And, I have found that some of the wonderfully self aware and liberated girls here at SH will chop and change to suit themselves.
My all time favourite ex even used to immac my initial into, or sometimes "out of" her pubes.
If I was pushed into a corner and forced to pick one, it would either be the "tightly trimmed" - sort of a number 2 or 3 - or this weeks option wink of a bit of a landing strip.
I like some hair because I believe that, like other body hair, it holds the aroma. And I so love to breath in the aroma of woman at certain times and in certain positions.
Just my opinion

The trouble with 'trimming' is it leaves 'stubbly, cut, ends' and that can be a little uncomfortable as well (speaking from personal experience here  )

Mmm, I've gone the electric and Gillette route and I'd have to say I'd prefer to avoid them both if at all possible! Maybe I'm just more jumpy than most but the thought of pitching up in A&E and having explain profuse bleeding from my nether regions isn't at all appealing

Well, as long as it doesn't harm the kids or scare the horses
Landing strip's a good name for it tho, cos when I'm pissed and wobbly; I sometimes need to be guided home.

OK, but do you work for them?
Please forgive the male chauvenist part of this.............(that's the part of me that opens doors for you)
but I prefer not to see or be part of the process.
Woman are, to me, magical, mystical; wonderous creatures. I adore the magic of them, but don't need or want to see or know too personally how it's all done.
Although we bathe together, we have our "private 10 minutes" each. Me to do my stinky bits, her to work her magic.
I can honestly say, I have not seen HLb's methods.

I specifically bought a girly, bikini line trimmer dunno to "trim above" and use girly 3 blade razors to "shave below"
I don't get complaints about the stubbly cut ends, and only get complaints from the regrowth stubble on the skin between my legs and balls.

That's a fantasticaly reasonable reason. For me, cream is good and feels great afterwards.
And this must be one of the longest Quote of Quote of... etc ever!
I recently shaved (in a fit of impatience) after months of waxing into a fine line. OMG the itch, the stubble, the scratchiness, the blummin' rash .. NEVER again!
Nope nothing in the world will make me shave again, and now I've got to wait for the blummin' rash to go so I can go get waxed!
I don't know how you shavers do it I honestly don't!!!!
I tend to trim Morbius with the clippers and then he deals with the rest LOL
