Well just back from the docs, and been told I have a skin infection from shaving!.. blink
Turns out, when I rushed to shave last week before heading out, i picked up the older razor and rushed things, so as a result, I look like a cluster grenade has gone off under my bloody nose and hit me full on my top lip and chin  leaving my normal unblemished beautiful skin, crappy!
Now I know the ladies of this particalur forum take immensely good care of them selves, and was wondering if any one has any remedies to maybe get this sorted ASAP, as I have a bloody wedding to go to on Saturday, and the docs cream takes a week or so :scared:
And yes johneboy and Meat.........sarky comments always appreciated at times like these :P
time for the wax
I would suggest not putting anything on it but what the doc has given it you, trying such things as oxy etc will just irratate it and make it worse, lost of creams that woman use have perfume in it which again will just anoy it lol, it make take longer to clear using the cream u was given but spots and rashes on can scare if you mess with them.
I agree with NN in terms of using any other creams and lotions over thecounter.
The only thing that may be worth checking out is if you can get some pretty pure
Aloe Vera (as in not some pncey perfumed cream with a hint of aloe in, but one that's content is ideally 100% natural)
Aloe Vera is pretty good at reducing inflammation and is natural so quite unlikely to cause any reaction, but there are no garauntees!
Ah,
Well guess I'll have to deal with looking like an extra from the killing fields then for the next week!....
suppose I'll have to get everyone really drunk then over the weekend aswell, so they don't notice too much :P
goes and hides his head in a bag

I take offence at being lumped in with old bollock chops.
crash helmet, comedy beard
Quick, go to the supermarket, buy some chamomile tea, boil water, put a couple of bags in a container, pour the hot water and let brew. When tepid, use the mixture on a towel and place it on your face. Leave for 5 mins or so (as long as you feel comfortable for). Repeat as often as you like. Chamomile has soothing properties and is fantastic at combating infections. You can also use cotton wool dipped in the chamomile tea if the towel idea sounds a bit extreme.
Good luck!

Swine! :P
Let me guess, you've got Impetigo?
I had that several years ago, ended up shaving off my beard as it was coming out in lumps. I went to a job interview looking a bit like Freddie Kreuger, but got the job anyway.
I don't have any quick fixes, but from experience the antibiotic cream I was prescribed began to work quite quickly, so that after a couple of days I just looked a bit red and swollen rather than like something out of a dodgy horror film.
not sure what he called it, lol,.,...it's all in german !.............he told me in french, but sounded similar....
ta for the heads up,,,,,I"ve picked up the cream,,so now off to burry my head in it biggrin

Aloe Vera is the way to go. Can't beat it for most skin complaints

well Dressed and prepped to head off out to the wedding...............60 quid's worth of creams and potions upstairs, kind of worked.!!!....
Tea thing worked a bit.....stung though!.....
Ta for all advice :P
time to get drunk and taken advantage of
Glad to hear it but very puzzled that it stung. Did you put sugar in it? Or lemon? LOL Or maybe you already had a cream on your face and it reacted? I hope you enjoy the wedding.
Oh my lord!....... no more weddings, EVER!.............well actually, no more alcohol, EVER!.
Arrived at 1, far too many pints, down to the church, 3 hours of champagne recption, red wine, white wine, then the whiskeys, followed my Mojito's on tap!!..........Mind you everyone got so obliterated, I didn't have to worry about my face lol
On the other hand, playing a sport the next day went down like a lead balloon!.....first time I've subbed my-self to be sick
But c'est la ive, and the face is clearing up nicely :P
Hope you all had a grand weekend too
