Just finished work at 3 AM  jumped in the shedmobile to go home and fook me if the windscreen wasn't frozen over. Now I drive a bloody big car so it may well have it's own micro climate going on inside, but a quick check of the tempreture gauge showed it to be 2 degree's outside (not sure where the third one was prehaps she was poorly confused).
So take ten minutes this weekend to get some de icer and a scraper and chuck em in the glove box.........they are the kind of thing you may not need but your fooked without em. Well you could use the tecnic me and my pals have been known to use when we have come out of the pub late at night :? .........................but I won't go in to that as it's embarassing and could get ya arrested redface
and why I'm doleing out advice the saying from round my way is always have your antifreeze in for bonfire night, so pootle off down to your local garage or tyre fitters and they should give your car a free anti freeze check. After all a fivers worth or so of anti freeze in an engine is a hell of a lot cheeper than a cracked block/radiator, pushed out core plugs or even a snapped timeing belt caused by a frozen water pump. All of which may sound a tad technicall but take it from me Ice can cause anyone of them to an engine and your talking hundreds of pounds to fix some of them

"HAIL THE SHED" - GOOD ADVICE - include in the tip 1 X sleeping bag, marsbar and shovel - or just take the shed !!!------ lol
one tip from me, if your driving a 4x4 like my landrover at this time of year with the bad weather, drive round with your free wheeling hubs switched in.
That way if you need 4 wheel drive you won't have to get out to switch them in, in a panic.
I agree with sheddy get your anti-freeze checked and if you drive a desiel get the the glow plugs checked.
Also check the condition of your battery and wether your altenator is charging correctly, most garages will do this for a small fee.
amazes me the amount of people who need the RAC/AA out this time of year because there battery is knackered.
