Hello,
I was just on the chatrooms and could not believe some of the names of the chat rooms that are allowed. I am by no means a prude, but surely naming a room that is linked to something that is illegal is not good for the reputation of this fine site.
Maybe i am being to sensitative.

It is also possible to form your own room with ANY name you want (free speech eh ?)
Also, having seen them myself, curiosity got the better, so I had a look - it's full of middle aged guys pretending to be something else.
Still worrying though - I wonder about some people.

Hello,
I only mentioned it because my hubby was a chatroom admin on a chat server a while ago. He used to help in a chatroom that gave advice for the removal of Virii and Trojans.
Most of the chatrooms were inocent, but slowly over the months the sickos started to join and create the most vile named rooms.
The whole chat server descended into chaos and was shut down.

Dawn if you do find anything that you feel is illegal then pm Elliot, Martin_M, St3v3 or Noel.

Technically would that be Trojanii, to fit nicley with Virii ?

Well i asked my hubby and he said there that as the word "virus" in its pure latin form has no plural, most people would accept viruses, but he likes the word Virii, as far as i know there is only one word that has to "ii`s" and that is the plural of Radius which is radii.
But then i was never that good at english.
I am sat here waiting to be corrected.

I cant see the room now, so maybe it has been shut down or everyone left, not sure if a room has to have people in it to stay on-line.

and some spell loci as locii

I saw the room name that I think you are referring to, and went straight to the "home of the chatroom ops" room to see if there was anyone I could report it to.
There was a whole series of fake event rooms created this afternoon, starting with the believable "wife on cam in 10 minutes" and progressing to one that went well beyond just being a waste of time and into the realm of offensiveness.
Perhaps the name of every room's creator could be displayed somewhere to discourage the creation of fake rooms?

Did you do Latin?
I think Trojan is both plural and singular.
Hard to say - my greek teacher (insert sniggering here) left after 6 months to become a priest, so we really didn't get that far. sad
