I enjoy the odd bijou drinkette in the comfort pf my own home and I think that being able to get three bottles of drinkable vino for a £10'er is pretty good value, or even, 45 cans of lager/cider for £20 if that takes your fancy.
I believe that with the reduction of taxation on smokes that the Gov't (bless em) are just trying to get the cash other ways and that supermarket booze is in the front line. Lets face it the days of the 'local' boozer are long gone for most.
I say leave me too being able to buy cheap booze please!
I say this after being at a wedding at the weekend and buying coke at £2:50 a half and Fosters at £$:50 !! a pint ffs!! oh yeah and pinot grigio at £2:80 a glass
It must be really hard to legislate to stop binge drinking and allow 'normal' drinking.
I do feel that selling to someone who is obviously drunk (pub, offy or supermarket) should result in the immediate loss of the license.
I don't drink much myself but i have bought loads in the past for BBQs or Christmas, and I've wondered if that will become impossible soon. Like buying Paracetamol. You can only buy 16 at a time. Bit of a pointless rule since 8 will kill you if you are unlucky.
why should have to pay more for my wine because someone cant be a resposible person.
this country is losing its marbles im so tempted to stay here in Ibiza and its more than a flippent remark
I make my own wine occasionally - sometimes it's a bit rough. But I've had some delicious results - and the best thing is you get at least a gallon at a time. And if you are able to get a hedge-row harvest, all you pay for is the sugar, yeast and a few cheap 'chemicals'.
Don't drink. Don't care.
