Should I bite the bullet?

Times are changing!
Though I don't contribute to the forum that often, it's become clear to me that times have changed as membership of the site has increased.
Historically, I've met people from the site generally through the private ads, and have been fairly successful over the years. However, this is becoming increasingly dificult.
So...perhaps it's time to bite the bullet and start attending socials and munches etc.. I haven't done this in the past, for fear I'd be recognised by someone. I work with the public, and my "hobby" would be judged by many people, including my employers, as incompatible with my job.
Any thoughts?

but apart from that.. well hey... I'd be fairly sure there are lotsof folk who's employ may be put at risk if it were known what they do in thierown time.
A bad situation all round, and a tad unfair I'd say.
But back at the social, well... everyone is there knowing what they are attending no matter thier reasoning for doing so.. so everyone present is in the same boat.
If you fancy it, pluck up the courage to attend your first social or munch, and see how it suits you.

If you see anyone you know at a social then they are there for the same reaon as you so where's the problem ;-)

I cant think of any jobs off hand where a healthy interest in sex precludes employment.

Best thing I ever did and I worked in the public eye at the time!!
Only got caught out once by a client, dressed up/down (depends on your view :lol2 smile

with a whip in me hand when going to a fetish club - he never told a soul only winked at me now an then lol

I wouldn't bite the bullet.
It vibrates like buggery and leaves your fillings rattling around your head afterwards.
I would attend a social. But beware, as meat2pleasu says... it's full of very odd kinky folk who do all sorts of unspeakable things in their spare time.

I was a bit nervous when i attended my first social, i went with my partner and once we got there we had a great time lol

its really good to meet the people you speak to on a daily basis. I wouldn`t worry too much about who you know, they are there for the same reasons as you

hi,
i understand what you mean in both aspects.
the site was prety much forum and ads, no web cams etc so i guess the ads were more umm not serious but you now what i mean lol.
as for the socials and munches,well there seems to be alot less munches these days than difference being munches would be in a private venue and only members on this site would be allowed in.
i know some people might say if someone you know is there then their there for the same reason so dont worry.
while im not trying to make you worry i understand your concerns.
not everyone is bothered about other people knowing nor would it impinge on their work reputation.
the plus side is it is just a social, there should not be any acts that could be considered indecent.
munches ive attended have been great, a really fun and relaxed enviroment in company with similer outlooks.
it allows others to see you as a person,not just an ad. that might not always be a good thing though rolleyes
