Should you be skint on your birthday?

It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm going to be skint. So I can't go for a drink or anything.
Q. Is this right?

I'm skint every other day of the year so don't see why my birthday should be any different.

Duh! But you've had a whole years notice that your birthday was coming around again.
You should have saved a bit each week and then you could have gone out and got drunk or whatever takes your fancy lol
