I have had my tonsillectomy ... I am bored to death as I am not allowed to do anything strenuous. But looking forward to being able to speak properly.
I am not allowed to mix with the human race for a while in case I get infected. Wor lass has managed to give me a cold but is a better and more patient nurse than I would be in similar circumstances.
Daytime TV is completely pants.

An agree....... dyatime tv is so bad, though I have been known to laugh at *loose women* on occasion! Its repeated late at night, only reason I cuaght it!

I've had a cough for a couple of weeks, it worsened horrendously at the end of last week and we presumed I'd got flu over the weekend with horribly high temps, unable to keep down food or fluid to the point I was admitted to A&E with severe dehydration.
I've been poked, prodded, xrayed, had ultrasound scans, given enough blood to start a blood bank, had litres of saline infused into me and I finally feel semi human.
The diagnosis? a virus!!!!
I could have bloody told them that!!
Still feeling crappy with a cough etc though
