Is there a nurse in the house?
I have a chest infection, have slept most of the day (when I've not been coughing) and I know I'm never gonna sleep tonight.
I got the flu jab in November... not doing that again, I've been ill on and off since... I still have my voice which makes a change but I'm not sure how long that will last!
Never mind... whinge over!![]()
Who wants to look after me? :rascal:

I'm afraid the only answer to a chest infection is 250mg amxoxicillin 3 a day for 7 days. If the infection is pneumonic (air) or pleuritic (fluid)can only be determined by a chest x-ray. If you can, try sleeping sitting fairly upright in a comfy chair - the pain is caused when any part of the lung touches the foreign body in the pleural cavity. The largest space is at the bottom of the pleural cavity so there is less chance of the lung touching it when gravity causes the infection to pool at the bottom.

Wow... thanks for that! So does the fact that they've given me 500mg amxoxicillin 3 a day for 7 days mean that it'll really be fixed quick?
