Any tips? No not on the fags! How have you done it?
Dunno just walked into my flat one morning and it fucking stunk.I'd been chainsmoking,drinking tea and coffee and not eating for the best part of fortnight and not going out the front just said enoughs like Boots the chemist now.

I gave up just over 2 months ago and know how hard it is, I still fancy a fag now.
As for advice on giving up, dont foget the Doctors now have Smoking Cesation Nurses and they will prescribe you a course of medicine to quit. They have a brill pill which the Mrs took which worked brilliantly, its makes you feel sick when you smoke. I had patches and one of those inhaler things. I only used them for 4 days got fed up with them and just went for willpower.
So Good Luck if you decide to stop.

Good luck to anyone trying to give up the Coffin Nails. Awfull habit, yuk!! Couldn't believe how at the NE Munch in a room of about 50 people there were less than 10 (I think) non-smokers. Perhaps its something to do with the hedonistic lifestyle, that makes people care less about their health & more about immediate pleasure.

i keep on trying to give up...but when i do, i dont have the will power to say no when someone offers me one, sad i know.....but i have given up booze..11 years now, so the fags will come next..............sometime..............someday..............soon....................

The hardest past for me was that I enjoyed a ciggy! I just knew that they were doing me harm and those around me. Decided one day to stop. No building up to it, no planning ahead, I just stopped and tried to take each day at a time. Best thing I did was change my habits as best I could to remove me from the temptation of "just one more" and break the routine of one with morning coffee etc.
It is hard but it's well, well worth it.
