This year I have
* Met ppl on here who have become close friends
* Went to our 1st social n had a blast
*Sang Karaeoke badly at social
*Fall more n more deeply in love than ever with Robbie- he is truly my soul mate!!!!!!

Shit - did we miss the Kare-Oke???
all we heard was the real deal
- Bryan Adams
- Robbie
- Kylie
You mean they weren't all really there!!!
I'm in a bit of a thoughtful mood today and have been having a good think. I thought my year had been mostly bad but there has been good times as well.
The bad:
I saw the new year in with a broken ankle which wasn't the best of starts.
I had a flood and then I had builders!!!! mad
My sister has had some serious health problems which broke my heart - she maybe 30 but she's still my baby sister.
I got back with my ex at the start of the year forgetting why we split up in the first place. rolleyes
I nearly got made redundant and didn't but then had a job review and my job which I love was replaced with a job I don't sad
The Good:
I did a management course which I loved
I gained a temporary promotion (I now need another job by March or I'll have to go back to my rubbish one)
I realised that I have some fantastic friends who think I'm brill and made me realise I'm okay biggrin
I joined here and I've been to two munches and I really enjoyed both. smile :)
I have a wonderful, loving and happy family who I adore :D
and finally I lost weight (not a huge amount but enough) and then I put some back on but I did lose it. lol
Reading back over this I'm not sure if I've been thinking too much about the bad and not enough about the good but roll on 2008 - a new year, a new start

Hmmm... 2007 has been a pretty big year for me.
I have finally taken the plunge and had a complete career change. BIG step for me - back to being a trainee for the first time in a long time but will be worth it in the end. I now feel like I have a career rather than just a job and, even on the most difficult days, I wake up wanting to go to work.
I started the year in a relationship but that ended (amicably!) in June. I am now enjoying being single again.
SH-wise in 2007 I have...
met some lovely people boink
went to my first solo Munch
finally braved the wierd world of the chatroom :giggle:
had some great meets 69position
pushed some boundaries whip
met someone in particular who really turns me on and who I am enjoying exploring many of my fantasies with... :inlove:
All in all, I'm looking forward to 2008 - it'll be positive and challenging and hopefully fun... Is a looooooong time since I've been in such a positive frame of mind and so looking forward to a new year.
Nola xx
"and what have you done? another year over...."
So in the words of that very famous record which gets me choked every time...
What have you done with 2007?
Me? I've done quite a lot actually...
- I successfully passed year 1 of my course

This year:
1) we've seen our son go up to comprehensive...now the hard work begins!
2) watched our 4yo daughter develop into even more of a little madam
3) the missus has really pushed on with her job and is getting the recognition she deserves for it
4) i've finally got my promotion to area manager that i've been after for 3 years
5) been on two holidays (1 to rhodes with the kids and 1 to amsterdam without the kids biggrin)
6) met some wicked people off here at socials & munches etc and made some good friends
Now the not so good:
1) had to standby and watch as our sons life was being made a misery by a gang of bullies and got ever more pissed off at not being able to go outside and knock fuck out of the lot of em for him
2) decided to move home again after spending a fortune on the missus dream kitchen confused
3) met some not so good people off here
4) found it ever more difficult to actually meet people off here lol
2007 hasnt been too bad, better than recent years to be fair....onwards and upwards smile

For me -
Same shit, different year!

Oh dear sad
You know, I used to date a guy from your way, he was lovely, lost touch with him. He was always down as well - must be something in the air. Here's hoping things change and you can post differently this time next year wink
2007 and very up and down year.
Up - Split up with my wife (yes, that is an up) and moved in with the georgous Mandy. Left a crappy job and mobilised by the TA to go somewhere nasty for xmas. Doing a career change and am studying like mad. Joined SH and hoping to meet lots of new fun people.
Down - dislocated my knee, out of plaster but still stuck on the sofa.

Me? I've done quite a lot actually...
- I've successfully lost weight (a modest amount but it's a start! lol )
- I successfully passed year 1 of my course
- I've enjoyed 2 holidays abroad
- Other than a minor operation I've had a year of good health
- We've had some extrememly horny fun and meets 69position
- I've realised it's pants being a parent, the fun part's on hold.. confused
- I've made quite a few really nice friends in this forum kiss
- and finally, we're broke! (well isn't everyone at this time of year..?)

What have we done?
Well, we've been abroad twice, on the bike smile
Including a trip down to Sicily :)
We've been to a few good munches and socials, and met some great people wink
We've held a couple of parties, and had a great time biggrin
And what are we going to do next year?
We hope to keep doing what we've done this year :)
We hope to have a few more parties, and meet a few more people, that we didn't manage to meet this year :rascal:

We had this problem with our son and we decided to involve the police as the school were doing fluck all about it.... My word the school were shocked and did get their arses in gear then and the bullying stopped :lol2: The down side was that it was just before the summer holidays and when he went back the bullying continued rolleyes
In the end we moved him to another school and he is doing brilliantly now, his grades are back up and he is a happier child biggrin
Good bits:
Got a new job which I adore
Daughter passed her driving test first time and then got a seriously well paid job :D
Won a tribunal which means financially for the first time in 3 years we are in the black
Youngest daughter winning a local talent contest :smug:
Not so good bits:
Still not getting son diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome :x
Eldest daughter writing her car off 10 days after passing her test... Fortunately she was okay :lol2:
Where did this year go?? blink
