So When Is A Newbie Really a Newbie???

I'm worried - seriously worried - have I been a dunce redface

I joined in the The Cafe Forum for the first time last night and had a great time - but was I really a newbie or was I not one after all??
I've pottered on the other Forum, made some half hearted posts but always felt too embarassed to really join in. :embarrased2:
Finally plucked up the courage to really go for it last night and ..................... everyone seemed to thing I'd been here forever.
And now??? Now I feel such a big fat fraud ................................. :cry: :cry:
Is there some form of punishment I have to endure???? I really don't mind ...........

No, you were a 'lurker' and now you're a newbie. Many people 'lurk' on other parts of the site such as the chatroom and never or rarely post in the Cafe. Some do eventually discover the Cafe Forum such as yourself and decide they like it. So once again welcome..... biggrin

t&t welcome to the cafe, even if you have been around for ages although I havn't seen you, but then I wouldn't have because I havn't been here as I was away on a top secret mission, that only a very few people, have been privy to.....

well tjandchris.
the generally accepted rule is . . . once you stick around long enough to make ten posts, and enter "finding my feet" territory, you sort of stop being yer actual newbie, and become sort of newbieish. another ten posts or so you'll be a reg.
obviously t&t has been a bit underhand about the whole thing, and is just blazing away furiously like an old hand, so could hardly be called even newbieish now. rolleyes
