How about allowing the chatroomies to advertise their gettogethers in the chatroom lounge, and allow the Chatroom lounge to be a chatroom "lounge" as opposed to somewhere to post about just "the chatroom problems/issues/fixes"

Although I do (rarely) dip in to the chatrooms (maybe im confused?) I cant help agree with you there Hammy, I do feel like a fish out of water in there!

Personally, I think points raised in this thread are worthy of at least some consideration and discussion, but has been rather 'overlooked' - or blatantly brushed to one side because it might be a bit contentious.
Its certainly been an issue in my mind since the first 'room meet' type socials were arranged, and I do see a big difference in the 'way things are done' in terms of organising, guestlists and mentality.

What a bloody good idea :thumbup: The chatroom lounge is 'a place for chatroom people to leave messages for one another' - vive la difference and all that, why not organise their room meets in there too ?
Is it just not an issue to other people? a let 'em get on with it type attitude? and no opinion to offer? :dunno:

without the original poster elaboration on the original post we will never know what he was thinking.... which is why dammy took it to mean one thing and i took it to mean something different..
but if we want to call it the start to a general discussion.... i would against the idea of socials being in two different places.. as that would only in my opinion widen the gap between the forums and the chatroom.... and why should they have seperate conditions and mentalities for both....
if in the end we are trying to get people from both sides of the sites to mix, to me that would be a dividing move....
for example , i now probably spend equal time in the chatroom and the forum... and have people coming who use both... so for my birthday social which would i put it in... or would i put it in both???
if for example it is the seperating of all the "munches, socials and parties" from the "i want an individual meets" then that is something that i would possible think would be a good move........
