paperclip... I knew that I had forgotten something. ummm what about gaffer tape.. or that stuff... duct tape. and when I was in the army the docile mechanics used to use electrician's tape for everything so that might work.
Maybe if you give it nothing to read or learn from that would hold it back? Otherwise sensibly i dont know? Maybe its worth googling something on the surgical/medical side? a truss type contraption or the like i'm sure there must be something. Be careful in trying anything too dramatic though you dont want the little fella going blue now do you.

What a good idea! So I thought about it and tried Toupee tape . Sorry its not funny but it works. What also may work is spirit gum which is available in joke shops and theatrical make up shops. It shrinks as it dries so makes good fake scars. That might be the bit that isnt so clever.
