Three years ago I was told that if my son lived atall he would never walk again. The cancer he was suffering from had trapped his nerve and he was in a wheelchair for a long while.
gradually he regained the use of his right leg and began to walk tentatively, but had no feeling in his foot. at this time his right leg was 2 cm shorter than his right and we were told that this was as much improvement as we would see.
tonight I am going to a football awards ceremony where he will get the award as most improved player. He has scored several goals this season and taken up swimming and athletics as well.
He never complained throughout his illness and recovery and has more courage in his little finger than I have in my whole body
This for me is the best Christmas present I could have. i f theres a moral which isnt my point,it is never give up hope. just wanted to share this with you ,it sort of puts things into perspective for me
thanks for listening
