I'm in the process of looking into organising a fun speed dating night for a dating site I am on. Not really serious, not age categorising or anything like that.
I was looking at how something like that could work with a swinging site and thought of two options...
If held in a club (such as chams for instance).
A. It could be... speed fucking
This would involve people meeting in 2 categories. Couples meeting couples/singles and singles meeting singles.
It would not mean you fuck them and move on, but you meet like you would in speed dating, spend say 2 minutes talking, make notes and move on. At the end the results would be pinned up and it is then up to you to make further contact either on the night or on here to take the next step.
B. The other idea would be speed buddy.
This would involve people who play as single (male and female) who are looking for a regular buddy to play with. Same conclusion as above.
Let me know what you think, it would be midlands based where ever it is held and if Chams is not up for it could be in a hotel or pub as a private function. I'm happy to organise it with a few helpers if it is something people would be interested in.
There may be a small contribution of around 50p/£1 towards materials if it does happen, or again if someone is happy to donate materials that would be cool.

Thanks lost. I was particularly thinking about the threads we have had when couples say that singles seem to move in packs and the thread I wrote about single guys not approaching me etc.
This way people actually get to make contact on an individual and light hearted basis that allows them to see if they do click or not.
All fun, no pressure, no being stuck with someone at the end, but who knows some people might realise it's not as bad as they think to talk.

I've been a member of chams for nearly 6 years now so know the staff quite well. Good idea to have a chat with midsprincess but i'm not sure if it would work if it was added to a 'normal' social as not everyone would be wanting to participate and may be difficult to round up people on that basis. If this were to happen it would need full participation by everyone who puts their name down or people may just opt out or lose their nerve, least everyone is in the same boat kind of thing.
Thinking about it that way, maybe chams is not the best place to hold it.
Still a work in progress and thoughts like that do really help, so thanks for posting.
Thinking allowed now as the ideas spring into my head.
Maybe a Thursday early evening meet (away from chams) would be best and afterward link up to the next chams social organised by midsprincess? That way people go armed with their thoughts and results?

What if we put this event 2 hours before a social night (at the event location) that is already being organised? That way we get it all over and done with before the massess appear and it will be a bit quieter?
