I can't think of anyone in this virtual world that I miss. I enjoy watching the banter but also got sick of the slagging and nastiness that I had witnessed in the last 7-9 months. My posting dropped off as a direct result.

Dont think I miss anyone who's gone but there are people who are still members that I see be it virtually or IRL far too seldom.
Only just started posting again on here so I think I missed the nastiness?
God I do miss some posters but new ones are starting to appear so we can't put them off posting
I have tried putting up a couple of threads but they die very quickly so it kinda makes me think either I am totally boring in my ideas or that threads just go that way
I am on holiday at the moment which is why I have become a site addict again and by next week I will be on here far less.

I, myself always give myself a break away every now and then, for all types of reasons...some planned, some not!!! :smile:
I just turn up again when I'm ready and quietly slip back into the fold... no drum roll, can't be bothered with that, its not important for me nor do I have the ego for it.
Members come and go, always good to see new and old faces back in whatever guise... :smile:
Not sure I actually miss anything... maybe some posters who had a *way* of making me giggle out loud unexpectedly without realising how amazingly witty and funny they were being. They have been some memorable threads/posts and they will be more!
I do think they are some new posters/members to the forum though that have some of the same qualities, given the chance... :smile:
Surely though, its the contribution thats made to a forum from anyone that makes a site work, not the size or quality to a post thats important? For some....making that initial first post is quite a daunting first step.

I don't really 'miss' anyone - all those who I enjoy being with I still enjoy being with, others have lit up my cyber life briefly and flitted away. I'm all the better for their having been around. Others have dulled my cyber life briefly and flitted away (perhaps with a shove, perhaps of their own free will -matters not) and this place is all the better for their not being around.

it may be true that forums are not as lively as they used to be... but I honestly think that is due to the popularity of the chat rooms now. When the site was first sold like many others I was concerned and worried. however I have to say the site quickly settled and now I honestly feel is a better place than before.
Sure there are old memebrs that i miss not being around... but hell..sme bloody great new members as well.

I'm fairly new....but am trying to break into the forum by being nice and posting different things, so I hope you don't mind me butting in on your thread. I am trying to make friends and hopefully become a reg on here (am working on it anyways)
I personally havent found the boards to be nasty to newbies....but then again I haven't been flamed for anything yet!!

I think its the same on lots of forums tho...they seem to have people hell bent on being 'trolls' (what they are called on Ebay forums) and being nasty from behind the anonymity of a user ID just for the sake of it.....they need to get a life IMHO
