I need some advice. redface
At the moment our "toys" are kept in a lockable vanity case under the bed. However the collection has rather outgrown it box and so I need to look at other options and quickly!
Anyone any suggestions? I need it to be kiddy proof and I tend to forget combinations!
Calista xx
what about another box
A his and hers box
Paint them green and stand them up in plant pots on the window sill and the kids will think they are cactus.

it's the size that's more important or I'd consider that ..... we have a couple of riding crops that I'd rather hide (found the youngest playing hide and seek under the bed earlier redface asked me what it was) and have some larger toys on order ...
And if I'm honest all the toys are "hers" type ones surprisedops: (he buys them not me so don't blame me for the inequality LOL)

found the youngest playing hide and seek under the bed earlier asked me what it was)

remember that one, used to have them in the bedside draw, when my youngest was about 4, he had a friend round.
the first i knew about it was when they both came running in the living room, where i was sat making polite conversation biggrin over a cup of tea with a neighbout, they were using them as GUNS redface surprisedops:
now i have a lock on the bedroom door at the top!!!!
All the kids now our bedroom is off limits but the lock is a safeguard
Our three year old recently did that, went under the bed one morning, and came up with a huge vibro in hand "daddy, whats sat (that)" lol
Calista, have you looked at those long, but flat under bed storage boxes, that often are on wheels? Just be careful cos most ive seen are see through!! lol
You could always hide them inside you.
You need a big old trunk you can put at the foot of the bed - with a padlock. Have a mooch about the carboot sales!
LOL
We use 2 small suitcases, you know the ones on wheels with extendable handle, they are quite cheap to buy, but are looking for something a bit bigger as we are struggling to fit things in them. they are usually securely locked with heavy duty padlocks (except when one was left unzipped at a recent party redface ) They are usually stored under the bed, easy access from above biggrin Think we are gonna get a blanket box for end of bed and fit a lock on that, should be suitable.

P.S, As the kids get older you will probably need to fit a lock on the bedroom door, we have had to surprisedops:
pmsl... kids are fantastic.. was sat at the computer in my bedroom with my brother one day loking up something on the internet when we hear a buzzing from behind us.... my 2 yr old had found my 'rabbit'.. not sure who was more embarassed.. me or my brother!!!! rotflmao
How about those small digital safes, Robert Dyas had a small cupboard size one with a digital lock for about £50. Obviously the smaller ones useful (we use one for calpol, n stuff so to hand but safe) but the larger one would take almost any toy I could consider, more expensive but ultimate in safety...

surprisedops: When I first read this message, quick scan really, I saw the word toys and thought you meant kiddies toys and was about to suggest selling them on eBay ... then I read the replies and quickly realised you meant "toys"
Well I can only judge by Silky's collection , and were considering renting the flat next door for storage.
Our bedside cabinets allow you to pull the bottom drawer right out so we keep our more "potentially embarrasing" items under the drawer but be warned.......When the man comes to wallpaper the bedroom remember to remove them BEFORE he lifts the cabinets to get behind them! Nuff said redface surprisedops:
iv'e got a full size safe you can have but you will need a crane and lorry to pick it up
my 3 y old daughter has used mandys toy for a bottle for her baby doll before now
mandy has a metal one aswell that starts up on its own sometimes (spooky )
Sorry, can't help on the advice front. I've only got the one toy sad Am I the only girl with a cock and chocolate under my pillow?
Though realise it's time to move it after this
'Mommy you like boys willys'
'No, I'm a girl I'm happy with my fanny' (I thought he meant I wanted one of my own)
'yes you do, I sawn your one in your bed'
