Strange but True (no one in the chatroom!)

I know you forum people dont often go in the chatroom, well some of you dont.
Anyway this moring popped in for my daily morning chat... think well there will be a few people miling around.....
was there NO there wasnt.
there was just 1 yes read 1 person i knew. I have been in the room for now 10 mins and still only one person i know...
i wudnt say i am a chat whore but i do know a lot of people in the forum and chat. I am shocked. I might need to picked of the floor.... HELP me

I made an early visit this morning, about 0630 - 0730 and had a nice little natter.
Did not know most of the chatters, but there was a few regs.
Must have all left when I did lol

Look, I'm old ok. Yes I can get into the chatroom, and yes I have tried it a couple of times, but it leaves me totally lost and confused.
The scroll rate rarely goes bellow a zillion miles per hour, and on the odd occasion that I realise someone was actually refering to me with some remark or other, like "wtf r u " lol

my reply is far too late and they have fecked off to make the tea. :shock: leaving me frustrated, vexed, and thinking "bother, they must think I'm a right ignorant git"
Now let me be clear about this, it's not the fault of the chatroom, it's me ok? too old, too slow, and definitely a bloke, coz i really cant handle the multy tasking aspect of having someone pvt me, and keeping an eye on the chat window as well in case someone else is trying to chat to me in there.
Horses for courses I guess.

agreed, i pop in most days for a bit but i find it hard to keep up with the discussion or typing rate
its also a pain when you cant pm to ask what people were referring to, without asking, then the other person misses the request.
although i did have a good chat in there this morning when it was a little quieter.

I was told once in chat that the F11 key slowed the chat room scroll rate down........... well it was possible, it coulda been, ok ok so I am gullible.......lol

Once very overtired I followed the advice of ALt+F4 auto op in a chatroom... no I am not an MCSE or working in IT... I must be a user... :doh:
