I will paint a little picture but not the whole thing..............so bear (bare?) with me here.
Someone has told me that they have "been inside". This is very important info to me. The problem is:
How do I find out if they are telling me the truth or spinning a yarn to make them feel big?
Is there any info on the internet to check this out? Is there a or something?
All I have is his name and address, the type of offence and an approximate time when they were supposed to banged up. Can this be checked through any other source?
I know it is a weird request, but those that know of my circumstances you will know why I am asking. Thanks in advance. Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers

I think that it is unlikely to find some kind of 'listing' as surely ones criminal records are confidential?
I thought about that Vix.......but they report them in papers, etc, so thought there may be someway of finding out

nope there is no way of getting to check on him without him going to the police station with him and asking for a copy of his record which can take up to 2 weeks to arrive , only know this coz her familly started saying i had commited something that frankly made me sick and had too prove otherwise to my nieghbors

Just a thought here, why would " Being Inside " make them feel big? Surely it would make them feel castigated, belittled, unclean, and not fit to lick our boots???
Ok ok so I’m Trolling here, but being that the mods are on holiday, wtf

what about disclosure scotland, i know your not up here but dont you have something like that down there, where the information is available for a fee?
If you don't mind me asking. Why is it 'important' to you.
I have worked with ex-offenders and in general they don't have much to brag about and its only useful to impress other lags with.
Training in prison can be quite good, and those that apply themselves can come out with some useful skills. Otherwise some remain unreliable and generally unskilled.
They can be a lot of hard work to motivate and manage, but they are not all beyond hope. So the reason I asked why its important to you, makes me think you may have deal with the guy for some reason, and perhaps at length.
He's probably told you all you need to know anyway.
Ask what date he was "sent down" on and check the local paper's archive for that day and a few days following. This is not a sure thing and can only prove he has been inside (if reported).
Babe............... my ex was CID................. u can get the info as an employer !
Go into the local nick... fill in the form.... costs ya £10 and bingo !!!
