Has anyone watched this?
I caught a bit of it last night. This guy hypnotises people in the shopping centres and gets them doing daft things etc Bit like Paul Mckenna stuff.
Some of it was mildly amusing, rest plain daft.
He had two guys thinking both were new parents to a stuffed rabbit, one breast fed the baby for the first time whilst the other ooo'd and arr'd with tears in his eyes. Another guy thought they were leprechauns stuck a street drain an was trying to keep them calm whilst trying to get help.
Would anyone here volunteer to take part in street entertainment or a show like this? Or has anyone?
Myself, although I like a good laugh - I don't think I would, I like to be in control of my actions.
Hi anais…..
I have had this done to me….
Many years ago when I was on holiday…..
Worst thing was someone filmed it and it haunted me for years lol…..
I was eating lemons thinking they were peaches, I was playing the ‘air’ violin too…
But worst of all – and god knows how my mind did it, but I was saying a nursery rhyme backwards too….
I wouldn’t do it again……. I felt a right plonker when I saw the film... but everyone else loved it dunno
Although I have done past regression under hypnosis….. now that was really cool, I was able to trace back a lot of the stuff I came out with, stuff that I had no previous knowledge of before.. it was amazing..........
I thought it was about time I made a post on here, I then find a subject that is of great interest to me!
I would not take part in something like this, only because I can make a fool of myself without anybody elses help! I know several people who have taken part in such displays and really enjoyed it, if you are an exhibitionist then definately for you. It is after all only a bit of fun.
I have had hypnosis in a clinical environment (That does make me sound crazy!), this was very rewarding and a very positive experience.
I have an interest in hypnosis and have studied the subject regularly, it is fascinating and fun.
One thing to remember is YOU are always in control not the hypnotist. You can always stop, the thing is generally you don't wish to.....
Welcome to the THE CAFE Desire :rose:
Like you I wouldn't do something like this, unlike you its because I am a bit of a control freak and the thought of not being in control of my actions terrifies me.
However, one of the funniest sit com episodes I've seen was SYKES and the hypnotist. Absolute comedy gold or at least it was when I was 10 years old. lol

It gives you permission?
Hypnotist does not work on me, I will not let go.
I was waiting to be uncooperative with my therapist after my wounding. After the test they decided I did not need therapy. On one level a disappointment. On another it just proves I am durable.
