Stupid british laws...

Rite....you have to be 16 to have sex.....but 18 to buy pornography.....excuse me...but surely you should buy pornography to get an incite into the real deal, and not just watch them dodgy cartoons they show you at school when sex ED comes around.
You could be spending 2 yrs of ya life putting it up the 'poop shoot - (_o_)' and wondering why you lady aint getting pregnant? lol

I do think some laws are stupid in this country. For example you can get married, have sex and babies all at 16 yet you cant drive till your 17 and cant get alcohol till your 18.

At sixteen you can go to work and start paying taxes but you can't vote !
At sixteen you can join the army learn how to kill but you can't drink alcohol !

Dunno if scottish laws different but we dont pay taxes till we're 18, just national insurance!

Blimey....it's alright for some.....as far as i can remember i paid taxes....don't think it's changed!

and as for joining the army and being taught to kill that might be true but you can't get deployed to a combat zone until your 17.5 (supposedly)

But pornography is about titillation, not education. I'm sure the dodgy cartoons you may have been shown, make it clear that its the vagina thats used to get pregnant.

And still, look at the high accident rates amongst young drivers, or the irresponsible way alcohol is consumed.

Hate to put a dampner on this rant but you CAN drink before the age of 18 - you just can't buy any alcohol. Drinking in pubs is allowed after the age of 14 in a segregated part of the bar and drinking at home under the supervision of responsible adults is allowed at any age.
Think yourselves lucky you're not in the USA - legal age for the consumption of booze is 21.

i pay my taxes like everyone else. im expected to follow the law like everyone else, but am i treated like everyone else?? nope i cant get married ( like id ever want to anyway) but if i wanted i should be allowed. can i change my birth cert to match my assined gender ? nope, im still waiting for the gender recognition bill to become act hopefully by july they say ...i wait with baited breath , in order for my friend ( also ts ) to change her birth cert she must become divorced then change over then become married (again ) to the person she loves for the past 10 odd years . i cant go to a surgeon to have an opperation to end my gender dysphoria untill a doctor that has no idea about gd looks down from his ivory tower and says yes you may now .. i had my last lesson for speach therepy this morning had to sit for over 50 mins in a very hot waiting room to be seen by my therepist for less than 10 minutes to be told that ive passed and will never need to go there again, although i should have been pleased by this , another mile stone and a step forward i really felt bitter that im being told how to speak , i should be able to talk how i like but im not allowed becuase if the docs dont think i sound right then i wont fit into socierty and so no opperation.. so rant over anyway laws in this country crack me up and do you think ill ever vote lmao you gotta be kiddin
one more thing you can buy a car that goes over 200 mph but your only allowed to drive at 70 if your lucky your not trapped in a 3 mile tail back that is lol

I thought that was only allowed if your were consuming a meal...that's the law I apply in my club, thou' I'lI never let any of the short arses in!! So why worry! LOL

I once read somewhere it is illegal to have anal sex with your wife but not your mistress dont know if this is an old law that is just diregarded now or whether it was altered. Also same book said you may beat your wife with a metal rod so long as it is no thicker than your thumb.
The alcohol law is a bit vague I think you may order alcohol at aged 14 as long as it is with a meal and you do not approach the bar to order.

I thought that was only allowed if your were consuming a meal...that's the law I apply in my club, thou' I'lI never let any of the short arses in!! So why worry! LOL

If I recall correctly young uns can drink in pubs only if it is with a meal AND they have a childrens licence. In reality many pubs dont have a childrens licence but allow drinking with food.
14yr old are allowed in nightclubs, as to be a nightclub food must be available. To get round this in most cases a condition of the public entertainment licence states a minimum age limit if 18. smile

This was accoring to a ex copper when i did my door supervisor course. :)

I have heard it said that as a pram is technically a wheeled carriage it is illegal to "drive" one on the footpath :shock: . Seemingly a section of some 18th century law has not been repealed.
