This last week we've had some glorious sunshine and late summer nights, tonight i am indoors cos i'm on here and have paperwork to do rolleyes but usually on evenings like this I'm out in the garden sitting in the warm air enjoying the garden smells ( I have night-scented stock everywhere and I grow climbing roses as a hobby , believe it or not redface lol ) with yet more paperwork or just chillin out.
I know lots of people enjoy BBQ's etc, so how do you like to spend your summer evenings? dunno Do you enjoy family time, or share it with friends here? do you enjoy time to yourself or go down the pub? Go for a drive/ ride on the bike? ..... possibilities are endless, so i'm interested to hear what you lot do to make the most of the weather while we've got it wink
Well tonight I'm being a taxi - took Chris into town to meet some mates and I'll be going to pick him up when he's pissed rolleyes
I love to sit in the garden with a nice glass of wine or a few beers, with friends, just having a natter and a laugh.
depends where i am, we have a weekend place and if i'm there i like to just chill, if i'm at home the same thing really but lately i have been stuck at work most evenings.

natter and laughs with friends is good, I dont really have opportunity to do that though, with my daughter around - she's nosey rolleyes Garden hasnt been fit to have guests round of late, but I'm working on it! lol redface
well i live in a flat so no garden unfortunatly sad
but i'm sat here with all the doors and windows open in a vain attempt to get that outdoors feeling!
as i'm hungover and have to go to work tomorrow  i'm staying in tonight..........but normally on an evening like this i'd be down at my local that has a fabulous beer garden with friends........
although it would be a perfect evening for going for a romantic walk aswell.......somewhere quiet with lots of trees.......
ohhhh.......i hope this weather stays till i'm off work...........the romantic walk idea has got me thinking.......... wink

Stick some fertiliser on 'em!! cool
BBQ tonight - family gathering - me sister's birfday.
I used to enjoy a ride out on the bike followed by an evening outside the pub with a couple of shandy's and some friends.
These day's I'm just spending my time babysitting and on here ( till someone takes me up on my offers ) once i've raised some funds for the bike i'll be spending some time in the garage getting sweaty and greasy
you carnt beat the open road all those fumes and dust love it !
I'm a sitting outside person when I'm not working so its bbq's and beer gardens for me biggrin
But I also enjoy those summer walks and to be honest last year my previous job meant I spent a lot of time with the truck overnighting in the forests of the UK (I moved trees biggrin )
cue regulgular burts of the monty python sketch oh I'm a lumberjack and i'm alright............. confused
Anyhow it was many an enjoyable evening sat with one of those disposable bbq's a few fellow hairy arsed truckers (we even had the odd female one so it wasn't all ball scratching and testosterone) and a bottle or 2 of wine biggrin biggrin
If I'm on my own then there's nothing better than sitting in the garden, glass of wine in hand and listen to the birds. Very relaxing. Otherwise, it's on my mate's bike for a ride through the countryside. Not that I get much time for either as I'm working a lot of nights lately sad
Last night I was enjoying a walk along the beach, strolling along with my ladyfriend, the sand beneath my feet and letting the cool evening breeze wash over us. I think there is something magical about watching the last rays of sunshine reflecting on the clouds.
I'm doing my bestest to turn my back garden into the playground and outdoor room it was last summer.
I had a fantastic summer last year.
Most of the early part was spent in great company on her back garden/patio, often late into the night.
I also decided last year that it was time I moved on from something, and made the choice to entertain at home, as a single. It didn't last very long tho' cos one of my house guests came to be fed and entertained- and never left
I flatter myself that one or two *cough* of the SH girlies enjoyed my company on the patio, decking or lawn redface Or was it the bbq pork loins, griddle fried garlic mushrooms, salad with honey and mustard dressing; followed by fresh raspberry pavlova and cream; finished off with fresh raspberries, assorted melon pieces and kiwi fruits - shared closely, allowing the juices to flow between mouths and dribble seductively down chins onto chest and breast before being licked off each other . . . . STOP
'kin 'ell - it's 10 am, the sun's shining and I'm "starting" already - methinks it's time to go "wake" her
Yep - I love spending time outdoors in the summer evenings
Patio here in the evening as well
Wine and good company an additional bonus
Well I've recently planted quite a few Night Scented Stock but they are only 2" high!
I like to eat my dinner at our outdoor table which has got a lovely candle lantern and I even put out a tablecloth. We also go cycling quite a bit as we live in the countryside so when it starts to cool down we like to cycle to the lagoon nearby and maybe sit and snog for a while.
biggrin

Oh - and for the tecknically minded, I've just checked the pic's properties and it was taken at 8:02 am17 July 2005.
Well he's cleaned the BBQ.
We've done the shopping.
Just need to decide what to eat & drink now
Back home... On very hot summer nights we'd take the furniture out (sofa, armchairs, coffee table) and arrange it on the stone patio, then light up some special torches and share a bowl of various fruit swimming in ice cubes under the stars. We would often sing songs trying to outdo one another (my friends and I are performers).
Here in England... no one to share the tiny water feature garden with, no one to have a bbq with. One half of a couple is nothing at all - happiness to those who are in a loving relationship!
