Did anyone else see the section on swinging on This Morning a few days ago. They had two couples on, one of whom ran a swinging hotel. Not being a regular daytime viewer I was a bit surprised they had this as a topic on a morning show (then again, anything seems to go on Jeremy Kyle's show), but I thought it was handled in a pretty mature, non-sensationalist way.
I had attached a link to the excerpt but if it doesn't work I'm sure someone on here can help us along.
Edit.... the clip only seems to appear for me if you refresh once you're on the page.
I'd agree with you there, nice to see the subject handled in a non-sensationalist kind of way.
Yeah, it was handled quite well, wonder if the two presenters have booked up to go?
The two swinger couples came over very well !! (not any form of double meaning at all there)
Anybody know which hotel they run? The GM website says Crystal Hotel but never seen reviews under that name, does it go by another name in Swingerworld?

Hi all ... it was actually PARADISE HOTEL, in Blackpool - and i agree that the interview came across really well ... It was quite funny to hear that the two presenters had obviously done their homework too as they used some of the terminology, correctly too!!
On a pervy note - Have to admit, i wouldn't mind getting to know Holly Willabooby ... ;)
Nice people I thought.
Quite cross about that dutch study being mis quoted and reinforcing the message that swingers harbour and spread disease mind.
Was good, and Explained really well, Paradise is a really nice club , we enjoyed it a lot when we went.
Excellent, The interview was handled in a very balanced, mature neutral way. We think Philip Schofield summed it up when he said about "meeting like-minded people". The ingredient for a memorable visit.

ty for posting that i missed it was good to see how well it was handled other items i have seen on tv have made me cringe but that seemed to put things over very well
we stayed at the paradise when sue and keith had first bought it and had a fabulous weekend its good to see its still going strong
Didn't see this myself. Can someone tell me who the host was? I have seen both Jeremy Kyle and Philip Schofield mentioned, but I don't think they do the same show. Enlightenment would be great.
Thanks,
Will
Several people have commented on the mature and unsensational handling of the subject. So I suspect that this was NOT Jeremy Kyle then. He was an ignorant, irritating, over opinionated pr**k at school and, from what I can gather, he hasn't changed much since!

I have to disagree with most comments so far because I don't think that they portrayed our community in a very good light at all.
The couples used some very sweeping statements "its not about looks" etc. Speak for yourself!!! If we go to a club and bump into a couple with a great personality it doesn't mean that we would shag them. There has to be a physical attraction. Don't get me wrong, we don't just look for pretty people, some people do have attractive personalities but it takes time to recognise this, not one weekend in a swinging club. I know for a fact that a lot of swingers look at this in the same way. We have had this conversation with lots of people and most agree that if they want to meet and play then they have to find someone physically attractive. However when you get to know people and although you may not have wanted to play with them when you first meet, you grow to fancy them because they are lovely people with lovely personalities.
The couple they talked about who went to the club 4 times and only played once was probably due to the fact that they didn't fancy anyone else there!!
They also didn't stick up for us much in the STI conversation. The majority of people practice safe sex when swinging, how hard would it have been to say that??
To me it seemed like it was a promotion for the club!!
Yes it's a bit pointless to say its not about looks, that's something most can understand. What would it be about then? Something even harder to explain and find believable.
