No need to apologise, sarcasm generally requires a generous quantity of wit and subtlety to be effective. The swinging sixties was also about the free use of drugs, which is forbidden in any way on here, are you suggesting that because we do not promote the use of recreational drugs, we are not swingers?

Having thought about this for a bit since my earlier post - I think a lot has to do with a "state of mind". Single or married, actually "swinging" or just interested in being surrounded by liberal, open minded people - it all has to do with how you"perceive" swinging". If you perceive swinging as a quick way to get a shag - then IMO you are not a swinger. You are after casual sex. And those that come in here after a few beers thinking that that is what swinging is about do tend to annoy me. Swinging, for me, is about a community based on honesty, trust and mutual enjoyment of sensuality and sexuality. Whether you actually "swing" or not isn't the point. Whether you are single or married - swingers have an open trust in each other. You invite a person or multiple persons into your sexual life and you also hand them some trust in that. And that, for me, defines a swinger.

Yes, there are swingers on here who are seriously not bothered at all about the sex side of it - they just enjoy chatting with like minded people.

I think they were Polo - personally I would say in both examples everyone was swingers. (but I would as when we arrived on here the only people we would swing with was single blokes). I would define the difference in this way:
Casual sex occurs between people who do not know about the casual partners previous sex partners.
Swinging occurs when people know of each others previous partners.

Oh goody, an attempt at labelling and categorising people, which will only lead to segragation and arguments.
Does it really matter? Does belonging to one group prevent you from taking part with another?
