As a very amateur musician, I've been asked to play at a variety of functions, both guitar and keyboards... I'll never forget the 80th birthday party I played at, where the birthday girl came up and stated "It's not the size of your organ, it's what you do with it..." Not sure whether that was a complement, come to think of it...
