In the last couple of days I've been getting repeated Zone Alarm alerts about a programme trying to access the internet. I keep denying it but it tries again several minutes later. It's as follows:
LiveUpdate Engine COM Module
Application LuComServer_2_
Destination IP :HTTP
If Im typing when it pops up it it disappears of its own accord before trying again a few minutes later.
My virus, worm and trojan hunters don't show any infections although several days ago I had a worm which I zapped.
LiveUpdate Engine COM is (I believe) Symantec Corporation (Norton).
Do you think this is a genuine programme or could it be a worm or trojan in disguise?
Help please. Thanks
It's a Kosher, you just need to add an exception for it in Zone Alarm (don't know exactly how to do that, I'm not a ZA fan, but I believe it's similar to XP, see below) . It's part of Symantec/Norton A/V smile

Thanks for that JonJon. I thought it was Norton. Really was just looking for a second opinion.
Cheers
Oh dear I've been denying access to that one confused
suggestion: update zonealarm to sygate home edition its a lot more informative in regards to whats comeing in and out it translates ip's ( ) into real websites so you can judge whats going on better. Also in my experiance its more secure in my experiance (computer engineer)

Thanks. I ran the "shields up" programme last night and passed with flying colours, so I think I'll stick with Zone Alarm for the moment, but I value your input so will keep it in mind.
