techie/chatroom help

Hiya!well weve tried getting in the chatroom and basically the warning window of java wont load,so any help please?

Have you gone to and downloaded the latest version Clare??

You might have a popup blocker, XPSP2 or you might have a firewall stoping the java module poping up and installing on your pc.

Clare, I know this would be something totally different from what you prefere, but why dont you download a program called MiRC?? Its an internet relay chat program, there are instructions on the chatroom section down the bottom on setting it up. Its the same as using java, somewhat, just doesnt slow your computer down as much. Give it a check out if you cant find a fix for your problem

Ive sent you a pm, maybe that will correct your problem. If all else fails always do a google search, no matter how vague the problem is. Just searched java security-warning enable. If it doesnt work i'll have another look, could be its disabled in your security settings is all

we tried out what you suggested in pm still no joy bloody thing

Go to They have a few possible solutions, go through that and tell us if it starts working. Did you click Don't Show me this warning again at all when it poped up? Upgraded to service patch 2 (windows xp) or remember what youv clicked before this started happening?

clare, if you we're using instead of IE ((( which everybody should be, cos firefox is the dogs bollox, and IE is crap! lol

))) you could always use little extension to plug into firefox, kinda halfway house between the java chat and mIRC. really easy to setup without being overwhelmed with all that techie shite. ;)
