in the forum it's possible to type something and out pops an emoticon (thanks all in norfolk room) but I seem to be having a spot of bother.
Can people help by spelling out in simple terms what creates what please!
big hugs to all that assist. biggrin
You might want to try this link

just click on the emoticon and it will be typed into your message. Unfortunately it will always type it right at the end of your message, but you can always copy and paste, or select them as you go along.
:P :P :P
If you click to reply to a post you will see some nice smiles just on the left
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Below them it says "View more Emoticons", give it a click ;)
Hover your mouse over the emoticon you want and click

Actually that's just a Firefox thing (not sure about Safari or Konqueror though).
In IE the code appears at the cursor position.
It has something to do with the different ways each browser handles the relevant JavaScript function.
