tecnical question...automatic \"Notify me\" flag?

tipically me...my first OP and it had to be of an enquiring/tecnical nature...
I find myself forgetting more often than not to flag the appropriate "Notify me when a reply is posted" thingy when I'm posting a reply to a forum topic.
as for me getting involved in a topic means I'm interested in further answers or possible replies to my post, I would like it to be possible to flag the option of being notified in case of further replies in automatic, much the same as happens with the signature, always flagged (unless you change it in your account settings, if I'm not mistaken).
is this something that is already possible, or could it be made possible?

It seems not I have just tried it. This would be one for the back room guys to look into, it is not a bad idea.

If after posting you page down you will see on the left hand side,
'watch this topic for replies'
click on that.....................and I think you have what you want!.
it will then say you are watching this topic.

yup...but that requires we do so every single topic
I was hoping in something more automated...a default setting related to the topics we've actually answered to.

I thought I'd up this topic, for the mods and site developers..in case they hadn't noticed it
it seems a good idea, so they might want to look into it.
if it's not, they just need to say so, and I'll shut my trap lol

I'd imagine the best place to send site suggestions would be direct to Admin. I think you can do that by using the "contact us" section over there <<<<<<<
I'm not technically minded at all but you can do that "notify me on a topic" automatically on a normal PBBHHBBP (or whatever it is) type forum. Not sure whether it could be changed to that here or not so I've been absolutely no help to you whatsoever. :mrgreen:

I'm not technically minded at all but you can do that "notify me on a topic" automatically on a normal PBBHHBBP (or whatever it is) type forum. Not sure whether it could be changed to that here or not so I've been absolutely no help to you whatsoever.

We did used to have the feature DG, back in the days when it was a pretty bog-standard phpBB board, but I have a feeling that though the forum still has the look of phpBB, under the hood it's all shiny new code. dunno Never used it anyways, but then I read every single thread, so not much need for it. ;)

not sure what "this" is as it brought me to the main page of the "cafe" section of the forum

That's the "show me all the threads I've posted in" link... or at least it should be. confused It's what you get if you do FORUM/RECENT POSTS/VIEW YOUR POSTS. ;-)

Melting I dont know if this will help but if you go to your own profile but you have to add yourself as a favorite and look at your profile that way instead of >>>>>>>> over there under my profile. you can then scroll down to the bottom of the page and view all your own posts then it takes you to the thread you responded to thus seeing what else has been said after you last posted.
Does this make sense?
There might be an easier way of doing it, but call me stupid I haven't found the way yet. lol
