Well having not had much to say recently, this idea for a thread came to me yesterday and I'd like to hear your views foum folk....
I love texting, get that little excitement every time my text ring tone goes off. I am rather crap at talking on the phone dunno so text is a great medium for me.
Blue and I use it for:
little lovey dovey messages, :inlove:
"Morning, gorgeous lovely hubs"
practical ones whip
"Don't forget the trip to B&Q"
sexy and downright raunchy ones
:censored: redface
etc etc
Apart from friends and family, it comes in rather handy for receiving and sending naughty  flirty texts with swinging partners. Nothing nicer than putting the parsnips in your trolley at the supermarket and being told by text that you'd like to be bent over the carrots and taken swiftly from behind
So your views please. Do you keep texts to practical arrangements in swinging or have regular contact with buddies? Do you just keep it up leading up to a meet or regularly text regular FB's if you meet regularly?
How do the couples manage this? Do you find one half of the couple texts more leading to resentment from the other party?
Does it turn you on? I love doing normal daily stuff and receiving a sexy text, it makes my day go with a swing (no pun intended)
Is there anyone that can't be bothered with texting or those that feel it too intrusive into your everyday lives?
Over you to lot...

In edit: Anyone brave enough to give quantities of texts they send or receive in a day? Mine vary from 2 to 25!

 I'm innocent, honestly!
Mr_FB isn't a big fan of anything techy really - it's just not his thing.
I like to text though

Aw c'mon Frecklebird, you can expand on that surely? wink

Gosh no, I couldn't possibly share any more than that - would be wayyyyyyyy too indiscreet!
I like texting but not when it becomes too 'swift' - it's great to read a really sexy dirty text and bring a smile to my face!
lol wink
As I hate using the phone I text loads. Sometimes just boring stuff but if I'm lucky I get filth :giggle:
On average I send about 300 a month but I have been known to send 450 redface
I like to text, but don't get any sad......mind you I've changed my number again and haven't given it out to anyone yet lol
I'm the same - I just love receiving sexy texts. Sometimes I get them during meetings and I love just checking 'em out and no-one knows what I'm reading.
.
i can't text to save my life sad ...i take forever...so i usually phone them back when i get a text!
I've recently moved from a contract to pay-as-you-go so I can't afford to text!
i like the odd horny text from people i know but I hate getting into texting conversations. I especially hate "Hi how are you" texts. Just a waste of time really.
Due to finances, my texts are now limited to the specific and necessary. sad
I couldn't possibly tell you what's on my phone!

Same as you really.
I try to delete the crappy ones as I go along but usually don't bother till I get that "inbox is full" message.
Here's a selection from the last few days lol
Alex_northeast: R U home yet?
Vanilla friend: Is (my child) going to the party?
Friend from a club: Enjoy Amsterdam, get lots of cock, i want 2 know all bout it x
Mum: crap joke
Another vanilla friend: crap joke
Lady friend from here: something rude that i won't repeat
My last meet: i do believe I'm outside (my house)
ditto; On my way
TV Licensing: As you have not paid your TV License you may receive a visit from an Enforcement Officer .. blah blah
I'm soooo popular!

Feck, that scares the crap outta me!  far too reserved redface
love getting texts and sending them,
but, when your driving down the road and the phone goes off and you can't stop that annoying ringtone it can be bad.
also when in a business meeting, can be very awkward if you get aroused.
yes my ringtone is "U $ Ur Hand"
enough said really.

Ah Matt, it's great fun for us ladies you know, knowing we create tent poles problems in important meetings...he he
my texts always used to be practical with the odd lovey one from ex, I always prefered to talk as you can say more recently they been from concerened friends but..
saturday morning got a text whilst in supermarket which put a smile on my face in a big way, I realise this is a bigger medium than purely practical sense that I'm used to.
cool 8-)
Texting reminds me of Christmas as a child....you wait, wait and then you get a present...open it and it's off the network telling you about promotions! Or in the case of Christmas a sweater of your Gran!!
i text all the time, 750 a month and i still go over that amount
like today i have been texting with someone for about 12 hrs lol
jokes, pervy texts, a general hello to see if someone is ok etc
Earthy xx
I used to be the same Earthy, in fact I wore out the keypad on my old phone.
My new phone's got touch screen and little stick which makes texting a really boring so don't do it so much any more as I seem to be getting RSI in my wrist......that can only be from texting, right? wink

I thought you'd gone to bed dunno
:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
Im a textaholic, been trying to cut down but its not working
Majority of them are joke texts, with a few flirty texts to close friends, but Mr grif and our closest friends get quite a few dirty texts too redface
Have had a few sexy senarios/short stories texted which Mr Grif and myself have acted out after reading, then replied to finish the story, great fun :rascal:

I loathe texting; it's so fiddly and time-consuming unless I've got the phone connected to the PC and use the keyboard - much quicker to make a call. I find I use only about a dozen of my monthly allowance of 250!
About the only good thing I find about text messages is that they are free to receive when abroad (and don't cost the sender in the UK any more either).

Hate text, too time consuming and fiddly. Normally if anyone sends me a text asking for example R U comming out tonight then if I am anywhere near a free phone like the works phone biggrin I just phone them back.
I can never understand why it took off its backward technology taking longer to do things than is needed.
Texting may have its disadvantages but look at some of the kids on the street, some of these kids have no communication skills apart from texting, some of these kids dont care about school and have really bad english skills, at least with texting and *text speak* these people can communicate with each other, without texts they might not be able to
