Ok, I'll pick up some of the questions here- just because you "technically" can, doesn't mean you should- this is the same as asking why aren't all cars limited to 70mph in the UK given that's the highest speed limit allowed here. This has always been the case in the forums- as a section of the site that is broadly dedicated to text, not everyone wants to see adult pics while they're consuming the content, therefore the restriction on the forum- there are obviously many other areas of the site where pics are fine and that's another part of the decision- differentiating different areas.

Privacy on the internet is a huge subject that I wont even attempt to cover in detail, and I'm not sure what you mean by "Private to the internet" that really is an oxymoron. What I can tell you is that a lot of different people can see what is posted in the forum, a forum is by its nature an open discussion, so you should not assume anything posted here is "Private" at all.

I also wanted to pick this up, really for everyone's information- anyone who is blocked is instructed NOT to contact the person that has blocked them, essentially to make the block function a free choice for each user without having to justify their choice, or face an inquisition from people who feel that it's a personal insult or whatever. I'm actually gratified to hear that the person you blocked did the right thing, and understood it was your choice and didn't try to give you a hard time about it, bravo!

Of course this does mean you need to be a bit careful when applying the block to make sure you don't unintentionally block people you don't want to- in fact, its worth a review of your block list periodically to make sure you haven't done that- you can access that through the privacy section in your profile.

In short- the block function is everyone's individual choice and the rules around asking about it are to prevent harassment about it.

My bad I assumed the forum was only within this site for the members, not that everyone on the internet could read it. I worded it badly I meant private within Swinging heaven on the internet, not the world. if everyone can read it of course there mustn't be adult pictures. I must be stupid though I know I am not very computer savvy but why is everyone supposed to already know these things? Is the chat available for everyone on the internet to see? or the groups?

There is quite a bit of help and advice in the links at the bottom of every page- acceptable use policy, Privacy, Support (lots of Q and A's there) and failing that, you can always as a mod, or if they can't help, you can ask the admin folks through a ticket.
