Not sure you can blame religion - tho i get your argument there - but as humans we experience emotions, love, hate, joy, sadness etc! Surely its about time we devoted a little extra time and effort towards those which are most rewarding

I think that terror is with us most of the time. Going right back to the dawn of civilisation, where the strong beat the weak, through human sacrifices, wave after wave of invasions, witch hunts, civil wars, religious wars, Jack the Ripper, The Yorkshire Ripper, Northern Ireland and so on. Its nearly always been there.
